Ciara, who rose to the top of the R&B charts at the start of her musical career with the hit single “1, 2 Step,” took her first step toward a walk down the aisle in late October when she accepted a birthday weekend proposal in New York City from rapper/producer Nayvadius Wilburn (aka Future), and now the Grammy Award-winning singer is sporting a sparkler that, as her prospective groom states, shows her “past, present and Future.”
Designed by her love of the past year, Ciara’s 15-carat creation–an eternity-style band crowned by emerald-cut diamonds which are held in the embrace of round cut diamonds in a micro pave setting– was made over the course of a four week period by New York City custom jeweler Avianne & Co.
Located in Manhattan’s Diamond District, since 1999 Avianne & Co. has fashioned accent pieces for such high-profile clientele as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo and the “Future” bride-to-be, who wore one of the jeweler’s pendants when posing for the pages of Harper’s Bazaar‘s August 2013 issue.
