The Prince of Darkness may have been in the Holy Land as part of the OZZfest tour, but the former Black Sabbath frontman was a typical tourist when not performing head banging hits at Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park. According to the Israel Ministry of Tourism, Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon enjoyed sightseeing excursion to some of Israel’s most revered sites during their stay, including the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Yad Vashem Holocaust museum.
Ozzy and Sharon’s sojourn to the Holy Land took place after a summer leg of the tour which included a number of rocking romantics saying “I do” at OZZfest, thanks to the Unholy Matrimony package. Having been a husband to Sharon for 28 years (and exchanging vows a second time in a traditional Jewish ceremony in 2002) the music legend let love rule during the American portion of the tour with ceremonies which included pre-show backstage tours for the bride and groom and a small band of guests and an OZZfest cake and champagne toast to a heavy metal happily ever after.
