He’s created some of the tastiest tunes in rap music, and now Joseph Cartagena– better known to music lovers as Fat Joe– and his personal chef (Chef Mark) are preparing to add spice to the small screen in an upcoming television program that showcase the singer’s culinary quest in the Caribbean.
First stop on Fat Joe’s gastronomic journey was the island of St. Maarten, where the hip hop star not only got the trendy hot spot 1-Eleven cooking with a live performance, but also cooked up a storm in the kitchen at Temptation– an eatery which serves up samples of “Nouveau Caribbean” cuisine.
The upcoming 30-minute show– which was taped during the star’s stay from July 16 – 19, 2010– promises to also highlight the local flavor of St. Maarten, with a look at sites for shopping, clubbing, sunbathing and dining.
