Country Music Stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Engaged

Both Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may have climbed to the top of the Billboard charts in 2010, but the two country music sensations have long held the number one spot in each other’s hearts. On May 9, 2010 the couple’s five-year romance led to a promise of forever, People magazine reports.

A down home hit maker with a sentimental streak, the prospective groom received a blessing from his future father-in-law before asking for his bride-to-be’s hand in marriage. No doubt only Lambert’s smile could outshine the diamond and platinum engagement ring Shelton slipped on the finger of ACM’s Top Female Vocalist as the couple cherished the private moment in the woods near Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Currently enjoying their first days as fiances, the happy couple have yet to announce a date for their impending I do’s.
