Sugar Ray Frontman Mark McGrath Engaged

Mark McGrath, whose band Sugar Ray took the single “Fly” to the top of the charts in the mid-90’s, is floating on a cloud– not only is the singer/TV host soon to be a father to twins, he is also planning to pledge his love to girlfriend Carin Kingsland.

The upcoming host of Don’t Forget the Lyrics! professed to People magazine that a proposal on New Year’s Eve put him on a path that will lead to an “I do.” A romantic rocker, McGrath took his bride-to-be back to the Viper Room in Los Angeles, where fascination at first sight back in 1994 provoked the performer to say “I think I love you” to Kingsland– a proclamation that has proven to be prophetic.

Currently preparing for the May births of their son and daughter, the happy couple are pondering the possibility of a wedding ceremony on 10/10/10.
