Reality personalities Cheyne Whitney and Meghan Rickey not only won the $1 million prize at the end of season 15 of The Amazing Race, the couple are also winners in the game of love. The happy couple confided to People magazine that their love story led to a proposal on February 28, 2010.
A bogus betrothal on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon back in December put the pair on the path to an actual engagement, thanks in part to Brides magazine. Little did Rickey realize as she opened the April issue that she would find their photo inside along with the message “Meghan, will you marry me?”
An ArtCarved 2010 Limited Edition engagement ring featuring a platinum band holding aloft a princess-cut diamond flanked on either side by diamonds not only signifies the promise of forever for the pair, it also will always represent the memory of a romantic weekend spent at the Omni San Diego and a sentimental stroll passed the landmarks of their love, including the elementary school where their friendship began and lookout point– a romantic spot during their courting days and the place where the prospective groom pledged his devotion on bended knee.
Currently savoring their new status as fiances, The Amazing Race winners have yet to announce a date for their walk down the aisle.
