Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Engaged

When Nicole Richie arrived to tape a segment for The Late Show with David Letterman (which is scheduled to air Friday, February 19th) the gleam of the star’s smile was matched by the sparkle of an engagement ring.
During the taping of the talk fest, the former reality personality finally revealed a secret which she and Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden had shared only with a cherished few friends and family members– that the two are preparing to tie the knot.
The couple’s romance, which began in December 2006, has been strengthened over time by the births of their two children, Harlow and Sparrow. Although neither Richie nor Madden have officially announced a date for their impending I do’s, US magazine reports that the ceremony is slated for the summer.
Nicole Richie finally revealed her engagement ring to the public upon her arrival at The Late Show with David Letterman:
