Signing up with the online dating site Match.com produced a match made in heaven for actress Essence Atkins, who portrayed Dee Dee Thorn for four seasons on the UPN series Half & Half, and her "other half," Jaime Mendez.
The couple's online friendship, which began last year on Valentine's Day, lead to a walk down the aisle at the Ambassador Mansion and Gardens in Pasadena, California on September 26, 2009. Clutching a bouquet of purple, yellow and ivory blossoms, the bride smiled at the gathering of guests as she strolled past in a strapless Stephen Yearick creation, its beauty enhanced with the addition of a diaphanous veil which clung to her neatly coiffed chignon.
According to People magazine, after the I do's the newly pronounced Mrs. slipped into a silhouette from Angel Rivera for the reception, where family and friends danced to salsa tunes and enjoyed a repast of roasted pork and peach cobbler before receiving their parting presents-- for unattached attendees, a six-month membership to the dating site which brought the two soul mates together, and for twosomes-- candles and match books to keep the fire of love alive.

A private pair, details of their I do's have not been divulged. According to Life &Style, the co-stars of the 2007 drama Evening became each other's leading man and lady in real life a few weeks ago in France. A few select witnesses were on hand to wish the couple happiness.
Reality personality Khloe Kardashian enjoyed a fantasy wedding on September 27, 2009 with her love of the past month, Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom. A steady stream of stars, including Kobe and Vanessa Bryant, Kelly Osbourne, Adrienne Bailon, Ryan Seacrest, Alan Thicke, Lola Vasquez and Brittany Gastinau, gathered at the estate of music manager Irving Azoff to witness a wedding arranged perhaps in haste, but with a lot of heart.
Clutching a bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley and stephanotis, the bride began her walk down the aisle with her escort, Olympic champion and stepfather Bruce Jenner. Taking on the dual role of maids of honor were sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, while siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner joined three of Khloe's close friends as bridesmaids. Donning dresses which ranged from a heliotrope hue to a dreamy aubergine, the female family members filed down the aisle with the bride, who had donned a strapless, white Vera Wang creation accented with a lavender sash to tie in with the colors of her wedding party, People magazine reported.
A 10-piece orchestra provided the soundtrack for the early evening event, in which the bride received a wedding band to accompany her 9-carat diamond engagement ring.
Following the nuptials, the newlyweds swayed to the sound of Anita Baker's "Angel" for their first dance, then enjoyed a moving rendition of "You Are So Beautiful," as performed by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds during a reception in which 250 family members and friends sampled slices of a cake created by Hansen's Bakery and servings of filet mignon and wild salmon fillet. As guests departed, each received cupcakes as a sweet souvenir of a day when two souls were united as one.

Far from the world of glitterati, the groom returned to Doylestown, Pennsylvania-- the community where the American Idol season one runner-up first met his future bride during their days in high school-- to begin his new life as a married man. The performer, who plans to pen songs for his third CD, expressed his emotions in handwritten vows, as did the bride as the couple stood in front of a female minister of the Universalist Church. Making their I do's a family affair, the bride's young daughter Lola also spoke during the ceremony, People magazine reported.
As music is a driving force in the life of the TV Guide co-host of Idol Tonight, songs by Paramore, Radiohead and Peter Gabriel-- as interpreted by the Vitamin String Quartet-- provided a romantic soundtrack for the event, which took place at a private estate.
Former "Melrose Place" Star Andrew Shue and Amy Robach of "Weekend Today" Engaged
As a co-anchor of NBC's Weekend Today and a national correspondent for the NBC Nightly News, Amy Robach is accustomed to reporting the day's top stories. On September 27, 2009, however, the TV correspondent became the news when it was revealed that she had said "yes" to a marriage proposal from actor Andrew Shue, a former cast member on the original Melrose Place.
According to the New York Post, in the spring of this year sparks began to fly between the couple, whose romance began after both had felt the heartache of recent divorces.
Currently enjoying their first days of betrothed bliss, the pair have yet to announce a date for their impending I do's.

Although she was the picture of composure as she posed for photos with members of her wedding party, no doubt on the inside My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly was jumping for "joy" on September 26, 2009-- the day she said "I do" to entertainment lawyer Simran Singh.
Walking in the footsteps of Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels and Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie Titone, whose vows once echoed on the Malibu property of Dick Clark, the bride clutched a bouquet of pink and white blossoms as she strolled in a body-conscious creation down a pure white aisle runner which led to her love. Just as the sun began its descent in the southern California sky, the pair-- who became betrothed in July 2009-- exchanged rings carried during the ceremony by Dezi James, the TV star's two-year-old son, US magazine reports.

Fans in the area who missed the "stupid shiny Volvo owner" can still visit the venue, which is currently welcoming spectators to the 12th annual Port Moody Festival of The Arts, going on from September 24 - October 4th.

Who wore the most eye-catching ensembles to the 61st annual Emmy Awards? Here are Lovetripper's picks for the five most stunning silhouettes seen on the red carpet on the small screen's biggest night:

2) Marriage certainly seems to suit newlywed Jennifer Carpenter, who married actor Michael C. Hall at the start of 2009. The Dexter star's killer Zuhair Murad dress and Martin Katz jewelry captivated TV viewers as she strolled inside the Nokia Theater on the arm of her husband and co-star.
3) Stepping away from the sentimental '60's styles she wears on the AMC series Mad Men, January Jones wore a modern masterpiece by Versace when she stepped up on stage with the rest of the cast as they accepted the award for Best Drama Series.
4) In an evening of demure designs, House star Olivia Wilde 's daring Marchesa gown was just what the doctor ordered. The actress paired the provocative look with Kwait jewelry and Jimmy Choo shoes.
5) Perhaps taking inspiration from the event's coveted trophy, Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh glowed in this golden gown by Marchesa. A pair of hot pink Jimmy Choo pumps which peeked out from beneath the hemline added a playful pop of color.
Honorary Mentions

Damages cast member Rose Byrne was a vision in Valentino during the broadcast, and her Judith Ripka jewelry sparkled in the lights of the Nokia Theatre as she applauded her co-star Glenn Close's win.
Zooey Deschanel Marries Death Cab for Cutie Frontman
(500) Days of Summer star Zooey Deschanel, who walked down the yellow brick road in the SyFy Channel's futuristic retelling of The Wizard of Oz, strolled down the aisle at a site near Seattle on September 19,2009. During the nighttime ceremony, People magazine reports that the bride received a wedding band to accompany the 3-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane engagement ring she received in late 2008 from Ben Gibbard, the frontman for Death Cab for Cutie, whose song "Meet Me on the Equinox" will appear on the soundtrack to New Moon.
A low-key couple, the newlyweds are currently keeping the details of their I do's a cherished secret.

Accustomed to grasping her guitar, the entertainer found herself clutching a bouquet of roses as she stood on stage in a black ensemble at the First Avenue venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fans who have followed her over the years as she bared her soul in song bore witness to her wedding before the bride once again stepped up to the mic for the concert's encore, US magazine reported.
The ceremony was the culmination of a five-year romance which had led to a 2006 engagement.
Khloe Kardashian and L.A. Lakers Star Lamar Odom Engaged
After a month-long courtship, it looks as though L.A. Lakers forward Lamar Odom may be wearing a wedding band the next time he steps out on the basketball court.
Having made their romance public on September 4, 2009, it took only a few weeks for the sports star to realize that the love he feels for reality personality Khloe Kardashian (Keeping Up with The Kardashians, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami) is leading him down the aisle. Just one day after E! announced the couple's contemplation of a ring purchase, the happy news broke that the pair will pledge their devotion.
According to US magazine, the twosome hope to tie the knot within the next two weeks, with the Kardashian's Calabasas, California abode a possible venue for their wedding vows.

The ceremony, although unseen by the former teen idol's four daughters or his former band mates, was nonetheless a family affair, held on August 30, 2009 at the Miami, Florida residence of the bride's parents Radar online reported.
Although in its former life it was used as a weapon of destruction, a converted Cold War fighter served a peaceful purpose as a vehicle to transport a couple to their wedding venue on the day they embarked on the building of their new life together as husband and wife.
On August 29, 2009, Emily Eavis climbed atop the transfigured warplane with her father, Michael Eavis-- the organizer of The Glastonbury Festival, known as the world's largest outdoor music festival-- for a drive through the streets of Pilton, Somerset in England, waving to wellwishers along the way as their ride guided the bride to Pilton Methodist Chapel, where groom Nick Dewey and 185 friends and family members celebrated the culmination of the couple's six-year romance.

Top Five Best Dressed Stars at The 2009 VMA Awards
Which frocks rocked the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall during the 2009 VMA Awards? Here are Lovetripper's picks for the evening's most glam garments:
1) Befitting the current queen of crossover hits, Taylor Swift arrived in a royal ride. Stepping out of a Cinderella-style carriage, the night's winner for Best Female Video revealed her couture choice for the event-- a Kaufman Franco Resort design. Twinkling in the lights outside the Big Apple's venerated venue, the sparkle of her Lorraine Schwartz diamond jewelry was matched by the dazzle of the singer's smile.
3) Katy Perry may not have been in line to receive a moon man, but this eye-catching creation from Blonds definitely makes the "Hot 'n Cold" singer a winner in the wardrobe department.
4) Lots of XOXO's from Lovetripper.com to the designer of this fashion forward frock-- Christian Cota. The metallic sheen made Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester's complexion positively glow as she stepped on to the red carpet in a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. Cathy Waterman jewelry and a Bottega Veneta clutch purse provided an added touch of glamor to the garment.
5) Announcing-- partially in Spanish-- the award for Best Pop Video, Nelly Furtado looked muy caliente in this somber-hued silhouette from Elie Saab.
Honorable Mention
Although her Roberto Cavalli dress, Cescare Paciotti heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry were undeniably high fashion, nothing is more beautiful than a kind heart. As millions of television viewers looked on, Beyonce proved that class never goes out of style.
In 2001, the crystalline voice of Denyce Graves singing "America The Beautiful" and "The Lord's Prayer" at The Washington National Cathedral helped to heal the hearts of the nation just days after after 9/11. Eight years later, the opera star's voice echoed within the cathedral's walls once again as she said "I do" to her love, Dr. Robert Montgomery on September 12, 2009.
Their two souls already united as one in two previous ceremonies-- an intimate "I do" in June at the same Washington DC venue and an African ceremony at the Masai Mara village in Kenya on August 18, 2009, the happy couple pledged their devotion once again in the presence of family and friends, who witnessed the bride walk down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder silhouette by Donna Langman toward her waiting groom, who stood at the altar in a kilt, People magazine reported.
Lord Freddie Windsor and Actress Sophie Winkleman's Wedding
In the year 1543, the Chapel Royal of Hampton Court Palace echoed with the vows of King Henry VIII and Catherine Parr. Five hundred and sixty-six years later, on September 12, 2009, the former royal residence was once again a silent witness to the start of a new chapter in the ever-unfolding story of the British royal family as Lord Frederick Windsor, the 31st in line to the throne, said "I do" to an actress who once wore a crown as the mature version of Queen Susan the Gentle in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, TheWitch and The Wardrobe, Sophie Winkleman.
Approximately 350 friends and family members, including Princess Eugenie and Lady Helen Taylor, rose in honor of the bride, who clutched a bouquet of ivory-petaled roses as she made her grand entrance in a design by Anna Roza Bistroff for Roza. Her ballgown skirt and 10 ft. train gently sweeping the aisle with each step, the gown's Duchesse satin and silk taffeta was bathed in the warm glow of candlelight as she made her way to the altar.
According to the BBC, the reverential refrains of "Be Thou My Vision," "Dear Lord and Father of Mankind" and "I Vow To Thee My Country," a hymn performed at the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, rang out inside the chapel during a ceremony which brought to fruition a Valentine's Day promise of a lifetime together.

Jessica Simpson, who recently slipped into a slinky black Ozlem Suer dress for a stroll along a catwalk in Paris, was the cat's meow when she stepped in front of the cameras in Rio de Janeiro for a segment of her upcoming return to reality TV, VH1's The Price ofBeauty.
Currently on a globetrotting search to unearth the world's differing definitions of flawless features, the blonde bombshell transformed from a Texas-born sweetheart into a true "Girl from Ipanema" as she stood on the sands of Ipanema Beach, sipping a caipirinha (Brazil's national drink) and watching capoeira performers.
Less than three months after her former husband, tennis legend Boris Becker, exchanged vows with his lady love Sharlely "Lilly" Kerssenberg, Barbara Becker said "I do" on September 9, 2009 to her own perfect love match, artist Arne Quinze.
As home is where the heart is, the couple began their new life together as husband and wife at their Miami, Florida residence with their children from previous relationships present to share in their joy. Perhaps influenced by the swaying palms at their waterfront residence, the pair added Hawaiian-inspired highlights to their trip down the aisle, with the groom draping a lei over the shirt of his all-white ensemble, while the bride tucked white tropical flowers in her hair.
The barefoot bride, who donned a lace-embellished, multi-tiered gown for the occasion, received a wedding band during the ceremony to accompany an engagement ring composed of eight black diamonds, Bild reports. The couple will continue to celebrate their union with a "Gypsy and Rock 'n' Roll"-themed soiree in Potsdam this weekend.
Wordless Wednesday: Photos of The Beatles' Weddings
As music fans celebrate the release of The Beatles' digitally remastered catalog and The Beatles: Rock Band, Lovetripper takes a trip back in time for a look at the wedding days of The Fab Four:
At the Marylebone Register office on March 12, 1969, Paul McCartney and Linda Eastman were pronounced husband and wife in a simple civil ceremony. The couple would later have their union blessed at St. John's Wood Church.

One day after their February 11, 1965 wedding at Claxton Hall, Ringo Starr and the former Maureen Cox met up with photographers:
As the clock struck midnight on September 4, 2009 it marked not only the birth of a new day, but also the start of a new life together as husband and wife for Christina Milian and music producer The-Dream (Terius Hagert Youngdell Nash).
Perhaps taking inspiration from the bride's latest CD Elope, the happy couple enjoyed a secret ceremony at Las Vegas's landmark of love, The Little White Wedding Chapel. According to TMZ, Milian donned a $200 rented dress for the I do's.
"American Idol" Season One Contestant Jim Verraros' Wedding
He may not have won the top spot on season one of American Idol, but Jim Verraros has long been number one in the heart of Bill Brennan, who became the singer's husband on September 6, 2009 after a four-year romance that began to blossom on MySpace.
Music is a driving force in the entertainer's life, and on his wedding day the notes of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Air" floated on the breeze at the Oak Brook Hills Resort in Oak Brook, Illinois, guiding the performer along a path of white rose petals toward the man he loves. According to People magazine, 174 friends and family members looked on as the partners-- standing amid fragrant arrangements of roses, orchids and white hydrangeas-- expressed their love to one another with personalized vows.
At the reception, guests sampled slices of an Oak Mill Bakery cake embellished with vanilla buttercream icing as the newly wedded entertainer-- looking dapper in his black Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo-- swayed with his husband to the romantic refrain of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love."
Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion of FeastofFools.net offers fans a glimpse into the post-wedding festivities (including a look at the lion motif ice sculpture from Nadeau's Ice Sculptures) in the following clip:
Having accepted the role of a lifetime, on September 5, 2009 Italian actress Isabella Orsini walked the red carpet that led inside the Antoing church, where Prince Edouard Lamoral Rodolphe de Ligne de la Tremoille-- officially her husband for the past two days after their civil ceremony-- waited to once again declare his love for his bride.
Orsini, who was last seen on screen in Il Sangue e la Rosa (The Blood and The Rose), clutched a bouquet of crimson roses as she strolled down the aisle in a Gerald Watelet creation, the elegance of the ensemble was enhanced with the addition of a HollemensThiery tiara topped with aquamarines and diamonds, Fraticappuccini reports.
Following the exchange of vows, the peal of church bells announced the happy news to the village as the newlyweds waved to the well wishers who had gathered outside the Belgian house of worship. Cherubic children, their hair wreathed in halos of tiny roses, gathered round to watch the bride release a dove-- the sound of its beating wings no doubt matching that of the bride and groom's joy-filled hearts as they climbed into a carriage which whisked them away for post-wedding celebrations.
In childhood fairy tales the story would end once the heroine married her handsome prince. For Italian actress Isabella Orsini and Prince Edouard Lamoral Rodolphe de Ligne la Tremoille, however, their "I do's" on September 2, 2009 marked only the beginning of their happily ever after.
Dressed in a one-shoulder scarlet silhouette, the beaming bride stood my her husband's side and waved to well-wishers gathered outside the town hall in Hainaut, Antoing, Belgium moments after the civil ceremony.
The happy couple will once again pledge their love during a religious blessing of their union at chateau d'Antoing on September 5th.
