Which designs were the most dramatic at the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards? Here are Lovetripper's picks for the most stunning soap star silhouettes:
1) It may have taken Susan Lucci 19 nominations before she won her first Emmy, but the soap opera stunner has always been a winner in the style stakes. Daytime's Leading Lady looked lovely in two jaw-dropping designs-- a curve-conscious coral creation for her red carpet walk, and a molten gold garment for the stage.
2) As she is making the small screen sizzle once again on 90210, it seems only appropriate that Jennie Garth chose a fire engine red Issa creation for her Daytime Emmy design.
3) Matching silver bracelets brought an Amazonian edge to "wonder woman" Tyra Banks, who worked the red carpet in a fierce frock from Rachel Roy Resort 2010. A pair of buff Manolo Blahniks carried the TV talk show host up on stage to receive her Daytime Emmy Award.
4) Donning a dramatic evening ensemble for daytime drama's biggest night was Days of Our Lives cast member Rachel Melvin, who arrived in this stunning silhouette.
5) 90210 star Lori Loughlin, who recently paused to support a cause for paws at the 3rd Annual Bow Wow Wow Howlywood event for Much Love Animal Rescue, "put on the dog" for her Emmy Awards appearance. As the wife of fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, the actress has an eye for exciting ensembles.
Honorable Mentions
Brooke may still be in a struggle with rival Taylor to win the heart of Ridge Forrester, but actress Katherine Kelly Lang has no trouble winning us over with her fashion choice of a one-shoulder silhouette. Although sadly unseen by TV viewers, no doubt the sparkle of her gown was matched only by the star's beaming smile as she walked up on stage with the rest of The Bold and The Beautiful cast to receive the top award of the night.
A beacon of daytime drama since the dawn of the TV era,the cast of Guiding Light may have taken a fond look at its past during the awards show, but at least one of its stars is looking ahead toward a bright future with the next generation of soap viewers. MarcyRylan celebrated the beauty of her baby bump in this complexion-flattering creation by Pea In The Pod.
Gleaming like a gold Emmy statuette, Adrienne Franz of The Young and The Restless wore an opulent ode to Old Hollywood.
Race car driver Erin Crocker made a pit stop on August 26, 2009 to pledge her love to former NASCAR team owner Ray Evernham. The bride, accustomed to clutching the wheel, held on to a bouquet of red roses as she walked down the aisle in a white, strapless wedding dress at the start of a low key ceremony held at the Southpoint Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, USA Today reports.
As 140 characters or less is the fastest way to convey the happy news to her fans, the speed demon gave her Twitter followers an inkling of the impending I do's with her August 23rd Tweet "Big week ahead...So excited!" and her August 25th message that she "is heading to Vegas." ;)" Two days after the exchange of vows, the newly pronounced Mrs. Evernham happily typed that she "is thankful for all the congrats and well wishes! :) :) :)"
For the second time this summer, Office fans have learned that one of Dunder-Mifflin's finest is set to say "I do." Less than two months after Jenna Fischer accepted writer Lee Kirk's proposal during a romantic getaway in Europe, an announcement was made that John Krasinski has asked for the hand of actress Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, The Young Victoria), People magazine reports. The happy news comes as cameras roll on the episode of The Office which will feature the eagerly anticipated walk down the aisle of Jim Halpert, the character Krasinski portrays on the Emmy-winning NBC series, and Fischer's Pam Beesly.
Just as the couple have kept their relationship under wraps since the start of their romance in November 2008, news of the prospective bride and groom's betrothal and impending nuptials are currently being kept a cherished secret.

Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly's much-anticipated wedding on The Office is expected to air in October 2009. While images of the I do's were taken at a church in Van Nuys, California earlier this month, filming on the episode is also taking place aboard the Maid of The Mist in Niagara Falls, the Niagara Falls Review reports.
Since 1651 the chiseled image of the river god Ganges has cast its gaze upon visitors of Piazza Navona. One late summer day in 2009, however, the stone deity beheld not a steady stream of sightseers, but rather a goddess of the silver screen-- Julia Roberts.
The roar of continuously crashing droplets of water tumbling into the basin of the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers) seemed to mimic the sound of applause as the Academy Award winner-- currently in front of the camera filming the cinematic adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's New York Times best seller, Eat, Pray, Love-- walked around the structure, admiring the beauty of Bernini's masterpiece, which is eternally guarded by the towering Egyptian obelisk which overlooks the Roman square.
The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, which played a crucial role in the Dan Brown novel Angels & Demons, will make its appearance in movie theaters with Julia Roberts in 2011.
Wordless Wednesday: Photos of Angela Lansbury's 1949 Wedding
Here are a few black and white memories of bride Angela Lansbury (of Murder She Wrote fame) and actor Peter Shaw on their wedding day, August 12, 1949. One of the entertainment world's longest marriages, the pair were only parted by Shaw's passing in 2003.
Although she would soon stand before a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden, Britney Spears recently took the time to transform herself from a "Circus" performer into a typical tourist. Even though the double decker diversion aboard a sightseeing bus was all part of an elaborate concert ticket giveaway, the A-list luminary was still able to take in the beauty of The Big Apple as she made her way to Times Square, where two lucky ladies standing outside the sweetest site in the city-- M&M World-- won front row seats to the superstar's show.
Before the promotional giveaway, the global superstar was spotted promenading with her progeny past the globe that stands guard outside of the Trump International Hotel & Tower, a 52-story, five-star retreat which looks out on Central Park, where Jayden James and Sean Preston swapped their strollers for a roll in a pedicab which took the paparazzi magnets along a scenic route through Central Park. (The following day the boys would return with their father Kevin Federline for a visit to Central Park Zoo, Just Jared reports.)
Following in the footsteps of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's famous family, who enjoyed a February 2009 stay in Manhattan, days ago the "If U Seek Amy" singer's flip flops carried her down the aisle at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, where she and her boys were entertained with an excursion "Under The Sea" as the curtain rose on Broadway's rendition of The Little Mermaid.

A wreath of dainty flowers encircling her head, Drag Me To Hell star Alison Lohman looked heavenly as she walked down the aisle of St. Anthony's Church in Watertown, New York on August 19, 2009 toward one of the city's former citizens-- Mark Neveldine, the co-director of her next movie, the sci-fi action flick Gamer.
Clutching a bouquet of white calla lilies, the actress who came to prominence in the movie White Oleander donned a white gown for her special day, its beauty accented with the addition of a cross, WWTI TV reported.
The bride-to-be's smile matched the sparkle of the engagement ring which she displayed for the press at the premiere of Drag Me To Hell:
Actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson, having met on the set of Resident Evil, chose their own Beverly Hills residence to begin their new life together as husband and wife on August 22, 2009.
Celebrating her own "summer of love," the bride's hair was arranged in flower child-style. A wheat-inspired wreath crowned tresses accented with blossoms which enriched the beauty of her Temperley London goddess gown as she mingled with guests at a wedding in which she presented her love since 2002 with an 18k gold Neil Lane wedding band. According to People magazine, 50 family members and friends-- including Grey'sAnatomy star Patrick Dempsey, who arrived with his wife-- witness the bride receive a matching band, which now complements the sparkle of the yellow, pink and white diamonds that adorn her 19th century gold engagement ring.
Guests (including the couple's daughter Ever Gabo, who took on the role of flower girl) entertained by the seductive strumming of a Spanish guitar prior to the nuptials enjoyed the jubilant jams of Cuban musicians at the post-wedding festivities.

The romance of paranormal paramour Edward Cullen and his human love Bella Swan continues in New Moon, the second installment of the Twilight saga, which arrives in theaters November 20th:
Celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2009, no doubt the sight of Andrea Corr in bridal attire brought back happy memories to U2 frontman Bono and his wife Ali Hewson as they, along with more than 400 guests, rose from the pews of St. Joseph's Church in Milltown Malbay, County Claire, Ireland as The Corrs band member began her walk down the aisle toward the man who leaves her "Breathless," Brett Desmond.
Acting as bridesmaids, the lady of the hour's sisters Sharon and Caroline Corr-- clad in lavender-hued gowns-- looked on as their sibling stood at the altar in a strapless, ivory creation by Vera Wang. During the ceremony the bride received a wedding band to accompany an engagement ring worth 70,000 euros which has graced her finger since saying "yes" to a proposal on Christmas Day 2008 at the Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados, the Daily Mail reports.
As a star of the silver screen, Jason Schwartzman has traveled to Jodhpur, India for his appearance in The Darjeeling Limited and has stepped in front of the camera as King Louis XVI at the Palace of Versailles in Marie Antoinette, a movie directed by his cousin, Sofia Coppola. However, when taking on the role of a lifetime-- that of husband to the woman he loves-- the actor felt that there was no place like home.
Keeping news of the ceremony a cherished secret for more than one month, People magazine reports that Schwartzman (who is the son of actress Talia Shire) said "I do" to Brady Cunningham on July 11, 2009 at their shared residence in the San Fernando Valley.
The nuptials were the culmination of a three-year romance which had led to an engagement earlier in 2009.

As a bride-to-be waging a battle of the bulge, Nicole Brewer was a fierce competitor on The Biggest Loser, and while the ultimate winner's reward was not to be hers, the reality personality accomplished her personal goal on August 16, 2009 as she walked down the aisle toward fellow pound-dropping participant Damien Gurganious at the Renaissance of Astoria Hall in a body-hugging Amsale wedding dress.
Although most dread the treadmill, the desire to get into shape brought the soul mates together at a YMCA in 2006. Determined to leave their excess lbs. in the past before they pledged their love, the couple competed in The Biggest Loser: Couples edition, each losing more than 100 pounds in the process-- an accomplishment which continued after their time at the ranch was complete. By the time the twosome tied the knot in Long Island City, Nicole Brewer had gone from a size 24 to a size 8, while her groom-- who once wore size 60 clothing-- looked dapper when he tried on his size 42 Calvin Klein tuxedo at a Men's Wearhouse fitting prior to the pair's exchange of vows, the New York Daily News revealed.
As any couple's "I do" day is meant for indulgence, TMZ reports that the newlyweds joined family and friends in sampling slices of a Bill Jones Epicure cake, which was served after guests dined on crab cake and spring roll appetizers and a main course of sauteed chicken, fish and grilled beef. Following the festivities, the happy couple embarked on a honeymoon excursion to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, US magazine states
The beaming smile on Nicole Brewer's face says it all as she tries on some form-flattering Amsale wedding frocks for US magazine in the months prior to the nuptials.

Sightings of "Twilight" Stars in Vancouver
Since opening its doors in 1995, General Motors Place (which will serve as the site for ice hockey matches during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games) has echoed with the screams of both sports and music fans. However, on the evening of August 15, 2009 concert goers at the Vancouver venue made some noise not only for Kings of Leon as they took the stage, but also for Twilight twosome Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Pleasing their palates before the concert, no doubt the pair of paparazzi magnets and their Eclipse cast mates caught a glimpse of the Gastown steam clock-- a tourist attraction constructed in the late 1970's which is sure to spark the interest of any steampunk aficionado-- as they made their way inside the Water St. Cafe. The windows of the cozy eatery frame a view of the unique timepiece that stands opposite, its quarter hour chime and ghostly mist emitted from its steam engine creating a romantic, Victorian era aura for visitors of the historic district.
Sightings of Twilight stars have been numerous since pre-production began, and day prior to the concert cast members were spotted mulling over the menu at Miku, a Japanese restaurant known for serving aburi-style (scorched) sushi.
Twihards unable to visit Vancouver in the hopes of viewing their favorite vamps can still get an up close look at some of the costumes that helped to bring the characters of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan to life on the big screen. At Planet Hollywood in New York City, fans can peer at the prom dress worn by Kristen Stewart (a Max & Cleo sapphire silk creation that was a steal for $20 at a Ross Dress for Less) and the somber-toned suit that Robert Pattinson stepped into before dancing to "Flightless Bird" with his leading lady.
Note: Twilight prizes will be awarded for the winner's of Lovetripper's next contest, which starts September 1st!

Sometimes it can be difficult to express emotion in 140 characters or less, but when breaking the happy news of her nuptials to her fans Alyssa Milano's Tweet said it all: "Happiest. Day. Of. My. Life."
On August 15, 2009 a gathering of guests-- including actor Bradley Cooper-- converged on the New Jersey estate belonging to the groom's family to witness the bride, dressed in a Vera Wang creation, follow a fragrant path of cream-hued rose petals which led her to her love, agent David Bugliari. Clutching a bouquet composed of lily of the valley, the stirring sounds of John Lennon's "Imagine" escorted the former Charmed star to a wrought iron gazebo adorned with roses, calla lilies and willow, for the start of the ceremony, People magazine reports.
Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds joined family and friends beneath a tent erected on the site for a reception transformed into a pastoral paradise by event coordinator Colin Cowie, whose use of bales of hay and rattan furniture created an ambiance of rustic romance.
Alyssa Milano's engagement ring-- a creation of Jim Lavi for Daniel Jewelry in La Jolla, California-- which the actress received from her fiance on December 18, 2008.
Sara Rue's former sitcom may have been called Less Than Perfect, but as the actress steps in front of the camera as a cast member in the upcoming ABC series Eastwick she has discovered that her future looks positively flawless, thanks in part to the proposal she received one recent August evening.
According to Life & Style, a summer's day spent hiking and enjoying a leisurely picnic led to a romantic repast at a Malibu restaurant, where teacher Kevin Price asked for her hand in marriage.
Having worn a black dress when she exchanged vows in Vegas with first husband Mischa Livingstone, the former Popular star is looking forward to tying the knot with Price in traditional wedding wear. Currently savoring their first days of betrothed bliss, the happy couple have yet to announce a date for their impending I do's.
"Parks and Recreation" Star Chris Pratt and Actress Anna Faris Marry
Far from the pre-marital madness experienced by his character in the comedy BrideWars, Parks and Recreation cast member Chris Pratt enjoyed an intimate "I do" recently with his real life love Anna Faris, the star of The House Bunny.
Keeping their ceremony a cherished secret for the past month, the couple have now divulged that vows were exchanged on July 9, 2009 on the island of Bali, People magazine reports.
The newlyweds, who are currently savoring the first weeks of wedded bliss, will soon share time on the silver screen when their upcoming dramedy Young Americans hits theaters in early 2010.
A close up look at Anna Faris's engagement ring, which she received during the 2008 holiday season:
Following in the footsteps of her elder sister Crown Princess Victoria, who accepted the proposal of her longtime love Daniel Westling in February, on August 11, 2009 the Swedish royal court proclaimed that the almost eight-year courtship of Princess Madeleine and Jonas Bergstrom has led to their betrothal.
Meeting with the media shortly after the official announcement at Solliden Palace-- the royal summer residence on the island of Oland-- the bride-to-be's beaming smile matched the sparkle of an engagement ring which the princess proudly displayed as the couple told that the prospective groom had knelt when asking for his love's hand in marriage on June 12th during a trip to Capri.
The third in line to the Swedish throne will have plenty of time to plan for her walk down the aisle, as Stockholm News reports that the couple's wedding will not take place until after both her sister's summer 2010 ceremony and the government elections. When the pair are joined in matrimony, Bergstrom will be presented with the title Duke of Halsingland and Gastrikland.
Top 5 Best Dressed Stars at The Teen Choice Awards
Which star styles wowed the crowd at the Teen Choice Awards? Here are Lovetripper's five favorite frocks from the event:
1) Her family-friendly flick High School Musical 3 was a winner at the Teen Choice Awards, and actress Vanessa Hudgens is also victorious in our clothing countdown, thanks to this cute Christian Dior design. As the awards presentation was definitely not a "Sneaker Night," the Bandslam beauty accented her amethyst-hued attire with a grape purple pair of Brian Atwood pumps.
2) Heroes star Hayden Panettiere posed in Zac Posen before strolling into the Gibson Amphitheatre in a pair of peep-toe, taupe Christian Louboutins to receive a Celebrity Activist award.
3) Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester gave fashionistas something to talk about when she arrived at the A-list event in this black-and-white Louis Vuitton vision. Scandalously scarlet Brian Atwood shoes provided a flamboyant finishing touch to her eye-catching ensemble.
4) Influenced by her recently wrapped Runaways biopic, Kristen Stewart donned a "Jett" black Rock & Republic mini-dress which sports some killer fringe. A pair of Jerome C. Rousseau ankle boots helped the Twilight star Eclipse her couture competition.
5) Ashley Tisdale, High School Musical's own Sharpay Evans, looked sharp in this Used/Unused minidress. The actress accented her aubergine-tinted apparel with a pair of polka dot peep toe Christian Louboutins.
Honorable Mentions
She's a gem of both the small and silver screen, so this jewel-toned Opening Ceremony dress is an apt choice for Alexis Bledel's awards show appearance. Providing extra interest to the sapphire-shaded silhouette were a pair of red and white Loeffler Randall shoes.
Although Demi Lovato was the teen with a tiara in Princess Protection Program, at the Teen Choice Awards fellow Disney darling Selena Gomez looked positively regal in this one-shoulder Baby Phat frock. Melinda Maria hoop earrings and silver Sergio Rossi shoes added an extra modicum of magic to the Wizards of Waverly Place star's enchanting look.
Which star silhouettes wowed fashion fans last week? Here are Lovetripper's picks for the best A-list apparel seen at red carpet events during the first week in August:
1) Just as her movie has made it to number one at the box office, so G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra star Sienna Miller has risen to the top of our couture countdown. Although her eye-catching entrance on a crane provided a memorable moment for the fans who flocked outside Grauman's Chinese Theater for the film's premiere, it was the British beauty's golden garment-- a chiffon creation from YSL-- that left a lasting impression on fashionistas. A pair of appropriately-named "Stars" earrings by H. Stern framing her famous face, a "Hera" ring flashed on her finger as she waved to the crowd.
2) Having been a vision at her Vicky Cristina Barcelona premiere in a black Herve L. Leroux number, classic beauty PenelopeCruz chose this curve-conscious creation by the same designer for a premiere of her latest work, Broken Embraces.
3) Inglorious Basterds star Diane Kruger looked lovely in the Land Down Under when she sashayed in this silk scarlet Marchesa mini on to the red carpet for the film's Sydney premiere.
4) At the London premiere of The Awful Truth, Katherine Heigl glammed it up in a green Naeem Khan creation. The sweetheart of both the small and silver screen chose A-list accessories to accent her ensemble, including Green Amethyst Together earrings from Joan Hornig jewelry and a pair of metallic Jimmy Choo pumps, in which she promenaded inside the Vue West End theatre in Leicester Square.
5) A workout regime which InStyle reports consisted of squats, chin-ups, star push-ups and Valslide pushaways not only helped Hollywood hottie Rachel Nichols move into action mode in G.I. Joe, it also gave the star a sleek physique that she showcased in this white Kaufman Franco jersey gown. Emeralds on a diamond-studded cocktail ring and diamond, pearl and platinum earrings from Neil Lane added a small splash of color to the otherwise pristine palette.
Honorable Mention
Recently returned from Bali, it's obvious that marriage agrees with actress Jenna Dewan, who showed off her sun-kissed skin in this leg-baring look from Blumarine. Taking her on a stroll along the red carpet at the premiere of her husband's hit movie G.I. Joe were a pair of gold Jimmy Choos that highlighted the star's new tattoo on her left foot, which reads "side by side." The sentiment was an apt one, as Channing Tatum-- whose Giorgio Armani attire concealed identical ink on his chest-- stood by his new movie star Mrs.
Music has long been a magical force in the romance between David Miller-- a member of the pop operatic quartet Il Divo-- and theater actress Sarah Joy Kabanuck. Their love story beginning six years ago with the passion of Puccini's La Bohème, the opera in which they both starred, the Italian composer's works would once again play a role in the couple's lives as they celebrated their special day. Kabanuck's walk down the aisle, however, called for a more intimate arrangement-- a work penned by the groom and performed by a string trio with a harp's accompaniment.
According to People magazine, 100 friends and family members gathered at an old townhouse in New York City on the evening of August 8, 2009 to watch the bride, dressed in an ivory-hued creation by designer Michelle Rahn, and her groom in his Armani suit, exchange vows amid an atmosphere that evoked the memory of the opera which first brought them together.
Following the nuptials, the newlyweds and their guests dined in rooms reminiscent of operatic masterpieces. In yet another nod to Puccini, sushi was served in the Madame Butterfly area, while Tuscan delights filled the plates of those in the La Bohème room. In an homage to Giuseppe Verdi, French fare was enjoyed by attendees seated in the La Traviata room.
As guests sampled slices of a Ron Ben-Israel-concocted three-tier blueberry, vanilla and chocolate wedding cake, the happy couple stepped out on the floor for their first dance as husband and wife. As their wedding day had been a harmonious marriage between classical and contemporary, the lovebirds swayed in the operatic ambiance to the modern melody "Such Great Heights," a cover of The Postal Service's song by Iron and Wine, whose song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" serenaded cinematic couple Edward Cullen and Bella Swan for their prom dance in the movie Twilight.
Cheech Marin, who for years shared billing with fellow counter-culture comedian Tommy Chong, formed a new partnership on August 8, 2009 as he said "I do" to classical pianist Natasha Rubin.
In a nostalgic nod to his Cheech and Chong days, the comedy classic "Earache My Eye" from the duo's 1974 "Wedding Album" echoed on the beachfront property of the lovebirds' shared Malibu home as the groom-- his all white ensemble seeming to symbolize this new chapter in his life-- strolled past 75 family members and friends, including his NashBridges co-star Don Johnson, Once Upon A Time in Mexico director Robert Rodriguez, Geraldo Rivera and Carlos Mencia, People magazine reported.
Taking his place by the happy event's officiant, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the groom watched the lady of the hour-- serenaded by the traditional tune "Here Comes The Bride"-- make her grand entrance in a form-fitting white wedding dress designed with a plunging v-neckline and a criss-cross back. Clutching a bouquet of white, lavender and deep purple-petaled roses, the pianist made her way toward the comic actor, her elbow-length veil joyfully dancing in the sea breeze with each step.
Two bridesmaids-- one in a lilac-hued, knee-length dress, the other in aubergine to harmonize with the bride's bouquet-- and an angelic flower girl completed the bridal party. During the civil ceremony, the guests bore witness as the groom presented his love with a wedding band-- the culmination of a romance which began five years before and had led to a February 17, 2009 proposal at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles.
Wedding ceremony styles may change over the years, but the joy that an "I do" dress gives to each bride is timeless. Here are a few celebrity silhouettes, past and present:
When it came time to Step Up to the altar, Jenna Dewan donned Reem Acra bridal attire. A feathered, peach-hued skirt created an illusion of ethereal innocence, while an ornate, curve-conscious bodice showcased her fit frame.
Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante's stroll down memory lane during their 10th anniversary celebrations was also a chance for the couple to once again walk down the aisle. Although a multitude of the rapper's fans shared the pair's happiness as they witnessed the wedding vow renewal on the reality series Father Hood, only friends and family members gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Ray on a June day in 1997 to see Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. declare his love for his bride, who wore this off-the-shoulder silhouette.
Although her "I do" date isn't until June 2010, Project Runway winner Christian Siriano is already concocting a couture creation for Top Chef finalist Nikki Cascone. The bride-to-be will be a real "dish" when she walks down the aisle in Siriano's fierce frock-- a halter-style silhouette that will be a vision of pale violet, lilac and steel hues. Wanting to share her happiness with others, the restaurateur will auction off the gown for charity after her walk down the aisle.
90210 star Christina Moore took a walk on the wild side at her wedding by incorporating ostrich feathers into her bouquet of white phalaenopsis, which she carried as she strolled in a Vera Wang wedding dress down a path of rose petals sprinkled on the lawn of her back yard. The gown's mermaid skirt rustled as she walked past family and friends, including former Saved By The Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
One of today's kings of late night TV, Conan O'Brien made Liz Powel his queen in 2002. Friends star Lisa Kudrow was among the guests gathered at St. James Cathedral to wish happiness to the groom and his bride, whose lace coat offered an extra touch of romance to her empire-waist gown.
As a judge on American IdolKara DioGuardi may listen to would-be luminaries belt out tunes each week, but in June 2009 the reality personality no doubt felt like singing as she sashayed down the aisle in a strapless Vera Wang creation, its mermaid skirt swaying as she walked toward her groom.
Their stormy love story now belongs to the annals of Hollywood history, but on the day that Elizabeth Taylor said "I do" to Richard Burton for the first time she was a ray of sunshine in a yellow dress designed by Irene Sharoff. Like a halo resting lightly on her hair, a cluster of hyacinth provided the crowning glory for the silver screen goddess.
Their marriage was not to last, but actress Anne Heche will always have the memory of the day she donned this vintage-style vision for her I do's with cameraman Coley Laffoon. While still searching for the perfect silhouette, stylist Phillip Bloch predicted her dream dress for People magazine as "Something with a little femininity and just the tiniest bit odd."
A tiara topping off her look, Brooklyn Decker's form-fitting, strapless Vera Wang gown showcased her Sports Illustrated swimsuit silhouette when she exchanged vows with tennis ace Andy Roddick.
A single band of black wrapping beneath the bustline and a row of black buttons added gothic glamour accents to the white lace Kirstie Kelly Couture creation worn by LinziWilliamson, the bride of Good Charlotte's guitarist, Billy Martin. The glow of candlelight illuminating a path down the aisle at Malibu, California's Stone Manor, guests Nicole Ritchie and Benji and Joel Madden were among the guests who admired the bride's wedding dress, which was enhanced with the addition of a black net veil.
The movie And God Created Woman may have made her an overnight sex symbol, but Brigitte Bardot was the picture of primness in a demure bridal design at her 1952 wedding to director Roger Vadim at the Church of Passey in Paris. By 1959, when she said "I do" to actor Jacques Charrier, the silver screen siren would be bold enough to express her individualistic style with her choice of a pink checkered creation by designer Jacques Esterel.
"True Blood" Stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Engaged
Telepath Sookie Stackhouse may not be able to hear the thoughts of her immortal beloved Bill Compton, but it doesn't take a mind reader to realize that actor Stephen Moyer is planning a lifetime together with Anna Paquin, his costar on the steamy HBO series True Blood. Representatives for the actors have relayed the news to People magazine that the Academy Award winner and her small screen paranormal paramour, who have been an item since February, are engaged.
The happy announcement comes on the heels of the wedding of another True Blood cast member. On August 1, 2009 Kristin Bauer became the bride of musician Abri van Straten. The pair pledged their love on a Wisconsin farm belonging to Bauer's family.
Former "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" Star Marc Blucas Marries
Actor Marc Blucas, best known to TV buffs as secret government agent Riley Finn from the sci-fi classic Buffy The Vampire Slayer, recently pulled off a covert ceremony. Having applied for a marriage license on July 6, 2009 at the Erie County Courthouse, the actor exchanged vows with Ryan Haddon (the former wife of actor Christian Slater) on July 25, 2009. The couple's I do's were the culmination of a two-year romance.
According to the Erie Times-News, a sprinkling of stars-- including Reese Witherspoon and Kevin Costner-- were among those gathered to wish the groom and his bride happiness at their bayfront nuptials in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Actress Kristin Bauer, who portrays an immortal in the HBO series True Blood, pledged her eternal love to Abri van Straten on August 1, 2009. Knowing that home is where the heart is, the bride returned to her family's farm in Wisconsin for the happy event, Radar online reported.
As though christening their union, rain began to fall on the morning of the wedding, the droplets dissolving in time for a sun-splashed ceremony in a flower-sprinkled field.
Having first heard her husband's band The Lemmings on iTunes, the actress confided to fan site True-Blood.net, his voice led her on a journey to find him-- a trek which ended as she stood by his side and said "I do."
Mary Lynn Rajskub, better known to TV buffs as Chloe O'Brian on the Fox series 24, said "I do" on August 1, 2009 to the man she plans to love 24/7, personal trainer Matthew Rolph. Walking to the beat of Elvis Presley's "A Little Less Conversation," the couple's one-year-old son Valentine escorted his mother down the aisle at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
According to People magazine, 20 friends and family members-- including It's AlwaysSunny in Philadelphia cast members Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney, who exchanged vows in September 2008-- were on hand to watch the bride in her ivory, lace-embellished Nicole Miller gown, receive a wedding band from the groom, who had donned a white Hugo Boss suit for the happy occasion.
Following the Neon City nuptials, the newlyweds and their guests gathered at Koi for the post-wedding festivities.
Tony Hadley, who provided the soundtrack for teenage dreams in the 1980's as the frontman for Spandau Ballet, knows this much is "True"...he plans to spend a lifetime loving Alison Evers, who became his bride on July 31, 2009. The groom may have performed in front of throngs of fans over the years, but for his "I do" day only two guests were invited to witness the couple recite their wedding vows at the culmination of their six-year romance.
At Cliveden House (a familiar site to music buffs for its appearance in the Beatles' 1965 comedy Help!), the bride slipped into a strapless ivory gown, its beauty accented with the addition of a dainty tiara, while the groom-- known for his impeccable onstage style-- chose a dove grey pinstripe suit for the civil ceremony, the Daily Express reports.

Although her years as a member of the Britpop band S Club 7 are in the past, a memory of yesterday guided singer/actress Rachel Stevens toward her future on August 2, 2009 as the melody to "I've Never Had A Dream Come True" began to play on the keys of a white grand piano, the music escorting her steps down the aisle to the man of her dreams, Alex Bourne. The pair have been engaged since June 2008.
According to The Sun , 184 friends and family members-- including Coronation Street's Kate Ford-- witnessed the happy couple exchange vows beneath a white gazebo at Claridges Hotel in London. Millions may watch her superhuman stunts each week on the NBC series Heroes, but when it came time to say "I do" only a privileged few witnessed actress Ali Larter walk down the aisle. On August 1, 2009 family and friends-- including the bride's Varsity Blues co-star Amy Smart-- took a trolley ride to the Kennebunkport, Maine estate belonging to the groom's parents, where the lilt of Irish tunes mingled with the trill of song birds before the ceremony commenced.
According to US magazine, the bride linked arms with her father for her stroll down the lawn to the man waiting to make her his wife, actor Hayes MacArthur. The couple, who had shared screen time together in the National Lampoon comedy Homo Erectus, became the leading man and lady in each others' lives after the pronouncement that they are now husband and wife.

Since opening its doors to the faithful in 1924, The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills has been a gathering place for the glitterati's life-changing moments. Over the years tears of both sorrow and of celebration have been shed inside the 600-seat house of worship for the weddings of such stars as Elizabeth Taylor and Nicky Hilton, Loretta Young and Tom Lewis and Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter as well as for the final farewells of Rudolph Valentino and Frank Sinatra. On August 1, 2009 a new chapter was written in the church's Hollywood history as movie star Mark Wahlberg said "I do" to his longtime love, Rhea Durham.
The fragrant perfume of pink and lavender-hued roses filled the church as the bride began her walk down the aisle in a Marchesa gown accented with silver embroidery which harmonized with the groom's tie. The warm glow of candlelight reflected on the facets of her Neil Lane diamond and platinum, cushion-cut ring and her diamond bracelet and earrings as she stood at the altar during the 45-minute ceremony which united the couple in marriage after an eight-year romance, US magazine reported.
Stepping out into the midday sun after exchanging vows, the newlyweds were seen kissing in the car which whisked them away to their reception.

On July 31, 2009 My Name is Earl cast member Jaime Pressly jumped for joy not only in celebration of her recent 32nd birthday, but also for her new role in life as a bride-to-be.
