Holly Williams has made appearances on the Billboard charts with her singles "Keep the Change" and "Mama," but on one recent July day the granddaughter of country music legend Hank Williams no doubt had the title of one of her other songs in mind-- "A Love I Think Will Last"-- as the man of her dreams dropped on bended knee and asked for her hand in marriage.
Confiding to People magazine, the country crooner happily told of a picnic in Leipers Fork, Tennessee in which wine and cheese were the prelude to the couple's hunt for civil war relics. Although she might not have unearthed items from the past, the singer did discover the promise of a future with drummer Chris Coleman as she dusted off the dirt which covered a wooden box emblazoned with her favorite quote and the day's date in Roman numerals. Opening the lid, the entertainer found a fragrant blanket of basil and blossoms concealing an engagement ring.
Currently enjoying their first days of betrothed bliss, the happy couple have yet to announce a date for their impending I do's.

According to the Boston Herald, family and friends gathered at the Carlton Woods Country Club in The Woodlands to share the joy of the blessed occasion.
On July 25, 2009 a blast of trumpets regally announced the arrival of the bride, who clutched a bouquet of calla lilies as she walked in a strapless, embroidery-embellished gown up the stone steps to the forecourt of the club house, where her groom-- looking dashing in a white jacket accented with black lapels that matched the remained of his ensemble-- waited beneath a flower-bedecked arbor to make her his wife.
After the exchange of vows, bridesmaids in chocolate brown dresses joined the guests as they watched the newlyweds release a basket of white doves before riding off in a horse-drawn carriage provided by Platinum Carriages. The lovebirds would soon return to sample slices of a four-tier wedding cake at their reception. In the years to come, the happy couple can reminisce about their special day as they flip through a wedding album filled with moments captured by Houston area photographers Mary Henry-Zeek of MH Photography and Holly Anne of Holly Anne Photography.

The blushing bride-to-be, dressed in a pastel pink design from Cennamo Couture by Rafael Cennamo, accepted her love's proposal with a smile that rivaled the sparkle of her new Neil Lane engagement ring. Valued at $60,000, People magazine reports that the platinum band is crowned with a 2.05-carat, pear-shaped diamond, which is highlighted by six baguettes and 94 round-cut diamonds.
Since the 1920's the red neon sign which lords over West 63rd Street from its perch atop the Empire Hotel has been a silent witness to the comings and goings of a number of notables. When the fall television season begins the retreat where New York City's elite meet-- which was recently the setting for MTV's Summer's Hottest A-Z-- will be a star in its own right, as cameras rolled at Dante Park across the street from the famous facade on July 27, 2009 for a scene featuring Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick from the third season of the CW hit Gossip Girl.
Already accustomed to taking on the mantle of a character from a novel, the actor who brought Cecily von Ziegesar's resident anti-hero to life on the small screen will soon transform from heartbreaker to heartbroken as Ed Westwick steps into the shoes of tortured soul Heathcliff in an upcoming adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic, Wuthering Heights.
As the Empire Hotel is located just one block from Central Park, Leighton Meester didn't have far to travel when she filmed a scene with co-star Blake Lively at the urban oasis the same day (see photo below).

Following the nuptials, the newlyweds were greeted with a shower of confetti and rose petals which tumbled down over the groom in his dark suit and the bride in her strapless, crystal-encrusted ivory gown by Noi, christening their love as an organ's rendition of Beethoven's Ode To Joy mingled in the summer air with the peel of church bells, chiming the happy news to the townsfolk.

Currently enjoying the first months of their betrothal, the pair are planning to pledge their devotion in 2010.

As daytime drama duo Lauren and Michael Baldwin, Tracey E. Bregman and Christian LeBlanc said small screen "I do's" on December 9, 2005. On July 19, 2009, however, the two stars of The Young and the Restless happily took on the supporting roles of witnesses while Charlene Lee and Willie Williams-- the winners of the Wedding of a Lifetime in Las Vegas Contest-- shined in the spotlight during their wedding ceremony.
Her hair coiffed and her complexion made perfection by Cristophe Salon at MGM Grand, the bride strolled past floral finery furnished by the hotel's Forever Grand Wedding Chapel as musicians from Cirque du Soleil's "O" at The Bellagio provided the soundtrack for the occasion, while took place poolside at The Signature at the MGM Grand.

Limp Bizkit vocalist Fred Durst, known for bringing nu metal to the masses, is now a newlywed sporting a piece of precious metal on his ring finger. The singer, who had announced his betrothal to lady love Esther Nazarov on Twitter in April-- even showing the bride-to-be's Neil Lane engagement ring-- turned to the social networking site once again on July 16, 2009 to inform his fans that he is now a married man, writing "Cheers to the universe from me and my lovely wife Esther Durst! We are now one and complete.:0)."
Music buffs had the chance to share in the singer's happiness as the singer posted a picture of the pair drinking mojitos by the pool of a Las Vegas retreat, US magazine reported. Currently savoring their new marital status, the couple have yet to disclose details of their I do's.
As she celebrates her appearance as Polly Hamilton in the summer box office hit Public Enemies, Leelee Sobieski is also preparing for another role-- that of wife to the man she loves, menswear designer Adam Kimmel. The actress subtly showed off a marquise-shaped sparkler at the June 23, 2009 premiere of the mob-themed movie.
The couple's impending nuptials will be the first for the screen star, who said a cinematic "I do" in the 1998 disaster flick Deep Impact, one of her first feature films. Honorable Mentions
While she is accustomed to reporting on the latest sporting events, ESPN's Erin Andrews became the news when she slipped into this form-fitting frock for behind the scenes interviews with the evening's A-listers. The slinky silhouette offers ample evidence as to why the correspondent was voted "America's Sexiest Sportscaster" by Playboy magazine for two years in a row.
Race car driver Danica Patrick revved a few engines when she stepped out on the carpet in this Stella McCartney mini-dress, its asphalt shade tempered with delicate lace accents.
Over the years Robert Redford has painted cinematic portraits of such iconic characters as outlaw Harry Longabaugh in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, writer Hubbell Gardner in The Way We Were and big game hunter Denys Finch Hatton in Out ofAfrica. On the evening of July 11, 2009 the Academy Award winner accepted the role of a lifetime as Pastor Frank Engelbrecht of the St. Catherine Church pronounced him the husband of abstract artist Sibylle Szaggars.
According to the Daily Mail, 30 guests gathered at the Louis C. Jacobs Hotel-- an 18th century, 5-star retreat near the heart of Hamburg, Germany-- to witness the bride, dressed in a champagne-hued creation, walk down the aisle toward her love of the past 13 years, who had proposed in March 2008.
As home is where the heart is, Academy Award-nominated actor/director Griffin Dunne (MyGirl, An American Werewolf in London, Who's That Girl) and Anna Bingeman-- his love of the past two years-- invited a gathering of glitterati to their Rheinebeck, New York residence recently to share in their happiness as they said "I do."
According to the New York Post, 80 friends and family members-- including Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Uma Thurman and the groom's famous father Dominick Dunne-- were among those to wish the newlyweds well after their July 4, 2009 wedding.
Fans may sing a chorus of "We've got Robinho" whenever the soccer star enters a stadium, but on the evening of July 9, 2009 the Manchester City striker's heart and soul belonged to his bride, Vivian Guglielmetti Junits. The couple's 11-year love story-- which produced son Robson Jr., named in honor of the athlete's true name, Robson de Souza-- led to their pronouncement as husband and wife in a ceremony held at the Hotel Casa Grande in Guaruja, São Paulo, Brazil, Globo reports.
The sight of the groom in his Armani suit and the bride in her multi-tiered, crystal-accented creation no doubt brought back happy memories of their 2005 I do's to fellow soccer star Kaká and his wife Caroline Celico, just two of the many friends and family on hand to witness the wedding.
Although the following report from Globo.com is spoken in Portuguese, the joy on the faces of the bride and groom transcend any language barrier:
Actress Victoria Rowell, better known to fans of daytime drama as Drucilla Winters from her years on the CBS soap The Youngand The Restless, said "I do" to the role of a lifetime on June 27, 2009 as she became the wife of artist Radcliffe Bailey. The couple's romance, which began in July 2007, led to the bride's walk down the aisle on the arm of actor Samuel L. Jackson, whose wife played Cupid for the couple, the New York Times revealed.
A gathering of family and friends, including actress Alfre Woodard and the bride's many foster mothers, rose from the pews inside the Dublin Community Church in Dublin, New Hampshire as the actress made her grand entrance in a pale yellow creation from New York designer Jane Wilson-Marquis, whose silhouettes have been showcased on such stars as Mandy Moore in the movie Romance and Cigarettes and fellow soap star Robin Strasser on One Life To Live.
Following the exchange of vows the newlyweds, who had celebrated their engagement with an October 2008 party at an Atlanta residence, spent the first hours of their marriage in the company of loved ones at their reception on the Owlwood farm estate.
Almost four years after destiny paired them together for the movie Step Up, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan waltzed down the aisle on the afternoon of July 11, 2009. Having already welcomed wedding guests for the notable nuptials of both Fergie and Natasha Bedingfield earlier in the year, the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu once again prepared its grounds for a star-studded ceremony, E! online reports.
A white aisle runner directing their path, five bridesmaids-- including former 7th Heaven cast member Haylie Duff and Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui, who took on the role of maid of honor-- strolled toward the altar in gowns designed in varying halter styles to compliment each woman's figure, the matching powder puff pink fabric harmonizing with the blush and white roses of their bouquets.
Taking their places, the bridesmaids-- who had celebrated their friend's farewell to the single life in May with bachelorette parties at both the Gansevoort Hotel in Miami and the Bagatelle Beach Club on the Turks and Caicos islands-- watched the lady of the hour take her walk down the aisle in a strapless silhouette with an ornate sweetheart bodice which flowed into a feathered skirt that seemed to float with each fluid motion. Peering from behind the blusher of her veil, the bride smiled at the more than 200 friends and family members who rose in her honor before being seated once again in chairs arranged in a semi-circle around the lovebirds, ready to witness the groom presented his love with a band to accompany the engagement ring which has graced her finger since their Maui getaway in September 2008.
A closer look at the engagement ring which Channing Tatum presented to Jenna Dewan during their vacation in Maui in September 2008:
His band may have garnered the award for Top New Duo or Group from the Academy of Country music and received the nod for New Artist of the Year from the Country Music Association, but no accolade could ever top the winning smile that Lady Antebellum vocalist Charles Kelley saw on his bride's face on the day they said "I do." The singer exchanged vows with Cassie McConnell over the Fourth of July weekend, People magazine reports.
A Christmas 2008 proposal after their two-year romance had already led to an intimate civil ceremony in late June in the country music capital, Nashville. "Lookin' For A Good Time" with family and friends, the newlyweds once again pledged their devotion while in the Bahamas, and on July 7, 2009 the groom's brother and sister-in-law Josh Kelley and Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl were spotted at the Nassau International Airport after leaving the lavish Atlantis Cove Resort.
It's match point for tennis star Sania Mirza, who is now only one step away from marriage to Mohammed Shorab Mirza after their engagement became official on July 10, 2009.
The gold embroidered accents of her Nikhil-Shantanu designed Ghagra-choli shined like the facets of the bride-to-be's $205,000 ring as it was slipped on the athlete's finger in the presence of the family and friends who had gathered that evening at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, India to witness the happy occasion.
Although looking forward to their future together, the winner of the tennis star and her fiance will wait two years before walking down the aisle, the Hindustan Times reports.
The following Times Now report offers a glimpse at the prospective groom and the engagement venue:
Robert Pattinson Filming at Historic Ice Cream Parlor in Queens
Ever since he stepped on to the silver screen as lovelorn vamp Edward Cullen in Twilight, Robert Pattinson has been eye candy for millions of adorning fans, so perhaps there is no more fitting setting for sightseers to catch a glimpse of the star than a spot that sells sweet treats.
As cameras began to roll on a scene from his upcoming drama Remember Me, a pair of crimson doors acted as a portal from the past as Pattinson walked along the century-old store's historical hexagon-tiled floor and emerged from Eddie's Sweet Shop on to the sidewalk in the Queens neighborhood of Forest Hills.
While the nostalgic ice cream parlor-- with its neon soda sign beckoning customers to come inside and take a seat on a swivel stool at the counter-- served as a cinematic site, the delectable desserts may have inspired the star to sample some sweets during his time off the set. According to People magazine, RPattz pleased his palate with a cappuccino and chocolate mousse recently at Martine's Fine Bakery Shoppe in Tuckahoe, New York.
Although she portrayed a celestial being in the telenovela Dorinha, no doubt actress Sthefany Brito never looked more angelic in the eyes of her love Alexandre Pato than on the evening that she walked down the aisle in her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress and said "I do" to the striker for AC Milan.
According to Globo, sports icon Cafu was among the 500 friends and family members to rise from the pews inside Sao Francisco de Paula church in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the evening of July 7, 2009 as the bride, clutching a bouquet of ivory roses, made her grand entrance inside the house of worship, her ribbon-edged veil trailing behind as the voluminous folds of her ballgown skirt gently shifted to the sounds of the wedding march.
After the bride and her 19-year-old groom-- who donned an all-white tuxedo for the happy occasion-- exchanged vows, the Rolls Royce awaiting the newlyweds outside the church whisked the couple off to a reception at the Copacabana Palace Hotel where, like so many others around the world on that day, the music of Michael Jackson was played, both as a celebration of the superstar's life and of the start of the lovebirds' new life together.
Just as Pam Beesly now sports a sparkler on her finger from co-worker Jim Halpert, actress Jenna Fischer-- the actress who brings the erstwhile receptionist to life each week on The Office-- is now wearing a ring presented to her by her leading man in real life, writer Lee Kirk.
In vast contrast to her TV counterpart's gas station proposal, the star of the NBC comedy said "yes" to her prospective groom on June 30th during a romantic excursion to Europe. According to E! online, the facets of Fischer's engagement ring dazzled denizens of Paris when the pair stopped by a bistro on the first of July. Currently enjoying their first days of betrothed bliss, the couple have not announced a date for their impending "I do."
As a judge on American Idol, Kara DioGuardi helps to make dreams of stardom a reality. July 5, 2009 was a day for the reality personality's own dream to come true, however, as she exchanged vows with the man she loves, contractor Mike McCuddy, InTouch Weekly revealed.
An intimate "I do," just 30 friends and family members walked through the doors of the United Methodist Church in Prospect Harbor, Maine, rising from the pews in honor of the bride as she made her grand entrance in a strapless Vera Wang gown featuring a show-stopping flared skirt. The sophisticated silhouette was a far cry from the smiley face pj's she wore on December 8, 2008, when her prospective groom slipped a David Yurman engagement ring on her finger-- an 18 karat gold band crowned with a champagne citrone stone which now rests alongside the wedding ring she received during the short ceremony.
A look at the bride's David Yurman engagement ring. The unique piece features a champagne citrone center stone:
An off the court courtship has led to a walk down the aisle on the fourth of July for Houston Rockets power forward Brian Cook and his love, Victoria Velasquez. According to People magazine, the groom's basketball star buddy Luke Walton of the LA Lakers took on the role of best man for the happy occasion, which was witnessed by 150 friends and family members at Trump National Golf Club, the Palos Verdes, California venue which will reportedly welcome Boston Red Sox player Clay Buchholz and Deal or No Deal model Lindsay Clubine for their I do's on November 14, 2009.
The light that danced off of the facets of $75,000 worth of jewelry from Adorn Brides matched the jubilant mood of the lady of the hour as she strolled down the aisle in a strapless creation from Priscilla of Boston's Platinum Collection to receive a wedding band from the man she loves.
Following the exchange of vows, the newlyweds joined their guests in sampling slices of a red velvet and vanilla cake concocted to conform to the shape of a basketball.
Its trumpet raised as though to herald the news, the gilded angel statue which guards the Princess Theatre from on high was a silent witness to the arrival of Hollywood royalty as photographers, eager to capture images of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their daughter, flocked to a limousine which stopped at the entrance to the Melbourne landmark. Unfazed by all the fuss, a sleepy-eyed Suri smiled for the cameras as the Cruise clan made their way inside the 19th century opera house, which rang out with the sounds of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons during a performance of JerseyBoys.
Currently in Australia for her role in the upcoming horror flick Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Katie Holmes may have found the haunted history of The Princess Theatre of interest as the lights dimmed for the musical production. Legend states that the spirit of an actor whose heart gave way as the curtain fell on a performance of Faust not only lingered long enough to take a bow as the audience applauded on that evening in 1888, but continues to enjoy the entertainment on stage to this day.
After the show, the Tinseltown threesome returned to the Crown Towers Hotel, which the Daily Mail reports will be the family's home away from home for the movie's 12-week shooting schedule.
An eight-year romance has led to the promise of forever for Scottish television hostess Kirsty Gallacher and rugby player Paul Sampson. The bride-to-be, a presenter on Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway who also showcases antics caught on camera for the Sky TV program Kirsty's Home Videos, no doubt keeps replaying in her mind the moment that her prospective groom knelt on one knee at Coniston Hall Estate on June 27th and asked her to be his wife.
The happy couple, who together are the proud parents of a two-year-old toddler, hope to say "I do" some time in 2010, the Daily Mail revealed.

On October 2002 the Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas echoed with the laughter of newlyweds Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson as they enjoyed their wedding reception. Years later the Lone Star venue welcomed another celebrity celebration as actor Harry Lennix, star of the FOX sci-fi series Dollhouse, said "I do" to his love, Djena Nichole Graves.
According to the couple's wedding announcement in the New York Times, a romance which began after Graves saw her future groom on stage in a production of Radio Golf, led to their nondenominational ceremony on June 27, 2009.
Bitten by the "Lovebug," eldest Jo Bro Kevin Jonas has announced that he will say "I do" to his love of the past two years, Danielle Deleasa. The couple confided the happy news to People magazine hours after the July 1, 2009 morning proposal, when the musician knelt on one knee and slipped a 3 carat, cushion-cut diamond Jacob & Co. engagement ring (which he had a hand in designing) on his bride-to-be's finger.
A plane acting as love's light wings, the performer boarded an overnight flight from Vancouver to New Jersey to propose to the young lady who had first captured his heart as he saw her walking on a sandy beach in the Bahamas during a 2007 family vacation.
Currently enjoying their first days of betrothed bliss, the pair have yet to decide on a date for their walk down the aisle.
Michelle Trachtenberg Wears Wedding Dress on Movie Set
Michelle Trachtenberg, a star of the CW series Gossip Girl, gave fans something to talk about when she donned a wedding dress for a scene from her upcoming comedy, A Couple of Cops. Billowing in the breeze, even the box office bride-to-be's veil seemed excited over the prospect of stepping in front of the camera as the actors waited to film the scene at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York.
The sight of bridal attire is familiar at the park's two "I do" venues. Constructed in 1927, the doors of the brick and glass Picnic House have welcomed lovebirds since 1927, while the Beaux Arts beauty known as The Boathouse-- a star in its own right, having appeared alongside Katherine Heigl in another maritally-minded movie, 27Dresses-- has been a silent witness to weddings since 1905.
