23209: Wedding Bells Ring for Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady
As the world's top supermodel, Gisele Bündchen has walked on runways in an array of couture creations, but no doubt the Brazilian beauty never felt as lovely as on the day she donned a Dolce & Gabbana gown for her walk down the aisle. Rumors of an impending "I do" became reality on February 26, 2009 as the former Victoria's Secret model and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady exchanged vows at a house of worship.
At 6 p.m., the sun's slow descent over the city of Santa Monica marked the dawn of a new life together for the couple as the bride entered St. Monica Catholic Church, the long train and scalloped hem of her strapless, ivory lace wedding dress gently brushing the path which led to the groom as she strolled past the few family members on hand to share the happy occasion. Adding an extra element of elegance, the model wore a diaphanous veil embellished with satin roses, according to
US magazine.
Once pronounced husband and wife, the football star's favorite fan-- his young son John Edward Thomas-- along with the groom's parents and the bride's three canine companions (who looked fetching in lace collars designed by Dolce & Gabbana) exited the church and headed for the newlyweds' Brentwood home to celebrate the couple's union.

23109: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Enjoy A Family Outing at Historic Theater
In 1983 Broadway fans were riveted to the sight of legendary lovers Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, reunited on stage in Noel Cowards'
Private Lives at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in Manhattan. A quarter of a century later all eyes were on today's top Tinseltown twosome as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took their seats inside the same elegant edifice alongside four little members of their family who were eagerly waiting for the curtain to rise on a production of
The Little Mermaid.
As globetrotting tots Shiloh, Zahara, Pax and Maddox took an imaginary trip under the sea, no doubt Poppa Pitt, a known architecture enthusiast, took a moment to mull over the beauty of the Beaux-Arts venue. Built in 1910, the theater has echoed over the years with applause for a plethora of performers ranging from chorus girls in the Ziegfeld Follies to the theatrical incarnations of Belle and the Beast in the Disney on Broadway version of
Beauty and the Beast, which entertained audiences at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for 13 years.
According to
The Daily Mail, the children of the Jolie-Pitt clan will soon have ample opportunity to explore other attractions in the Big Apple, as their movie star mother is set to step in front of the camera for the upcoming New York City-based thriller,
Salt.

23009: Wedding Bells for Dog The Bounty Hunter's Daughter
Sunset on the evening of February 20, 2009 marked the dawn of a new day for Lyssa Chapman, the daughter of Duane "Dog" Chapman, as she said "I do" to her love of the past three years, Brahman "Bo" Galanti. Sinking into the horizon, the fading rays shined a spotlight on "Baby" Lyssa and her father as the group Na Leo performed "Rest of Your Life" while they walked down a white aisle runner which stretched over the ground at Lanikuhonua at Ko Olina, Oahu, leading her toward her groom.
According to the
Honolulu Adviser, 200 friends and family members looked on as minister Tim Storey-- the officiant which united Dog The Bounty Hunter with Beth Smith in 2006-- pronounced the couple husband and wife after a ceremony complete with hand-penned vows and a traditional Hawaiian blessing.

Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima is in seventh heaven after an impromptu "I do" with NBA great Marko Jaric. Having portrayed a winged wonder on the runway, it seems appropriate that the supermodel chose February 14th-- a day in which Cupid is king-- to elope with her love.
Engaged since June 2008, the catwalk queen and the Memphis Grizzlies guard enjoyed an intimate civil ceremony held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming,
People magazine online reports.
Although not on hand to celebrate their initial nuptials, family and friends will gather for a formal wedding in the summer of 2009. Still in the planning stages, the pair will pledge their devotion a second time either in Brazil or Serbia, their respective homelands.

22709: Top 5 Best Dressed Men at The Academy Awards
While designer gowns play the starring roles when it comes to award show couture countdowns, we thought we'd take a look at how Hollywood's leading men measured up in the style department at the 81st annual Academy Awards. Here's Lovetripper's choices for the evening's best attire on today's A-list actors:
1) While he may not sparkle like vampire Edward Cullen,
Twilight star
Robert Pattinson dazzled his dedicated fans in classic Dolce & Gabbana, earning him the top spot in our tally of Tinseltown tuxedos.
2) No one can question that he deserves the title of
People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" after last night's performance.
Hugh Jackman became the hottest host in recent Oscar history as he stood on stage in a black Burberry tuxedo.
3) Having been dubbed
People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in both 1995 and 2000, modern movie icon
Brad Pitt may reclaim the honor after his Academy Awards appearance in Tom Ford formal wear.
4) Like his onscreen persona, 007
Daniel Craig left his female fans in the bleachers at the Kodak theater shaken and stirred when he walked the red carpet in a Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo.
5) Following in the footsteps of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly,
Zac Efron's dynamic dance moves sizzled on the big screen this year in
High School Musical 3, and on Oscar night the teen idol looked just as dapper as the legendary Hollywood hoofers in his Dolce & Gabbana tux.

22609: Top 5 Best Dressed Stars at The Academy Awards
Who ruled the red carpet at the 81st annual Academy Awards? Here's Lovetripper's take on the A-list attire worn on Tinseltown's top night:
1) She may not have garnered a little gold statuette for her performance in
Rachel Getting Married, but actress
Anne Hathaway came in first in the fashion stakes. Donning Armani Prive for the evening, the gown's spangles sparkled like the facets of her Cartier diamond earrings and bracelets as she strolled down the red carpet in a pair of Casadei pumps.
2)
Kate Winslet's one-shoulder silhouette gets two thumbs up. Pewter-hued perfection created for Yves Saint Laurent by Stefano Pilati, the gown's beauty was enhanced with the addition of 100 carats of Chopard diamonds.
3) Actress
Freida Pinto celebrated
Slumdog Millionaire's big night in an India-inspired number from John Galliano. The saturated sapphire-shaded silhouette was accented with a reminder of the star's homeland-- a 150-year-old ring.
4)
Natalie Portman, who played Queen Amidala in the
Star Wars saga, was a regal presence on the red carpet in a Rodarte design. The fashion forward actress paired the pink pleated gown with Stella McCartney shoes and carat-laden rings and a bracelet from Kwaiat.
5) First setting eyes on the design eight years ago, Penelope Cruz seemed destined to wear to wear this Pierre Balmain ballgown on her special night. A bridal-inspired silhouette for her induction into the Academy's elite club of Oscar winners, the actress was a vintage vision in the 60-year-old couture creation. To top off her lavish look, the silver screen beauty draped 69 carats of diamonds around her neck.

"One crowded hour of glorious life is worth an age without a name." Knowing that no one is guaranteed tomorrow, British reality star Jade Goody and her love Jack Tweed seemed to take the Sir Walter Scott quote to heart on the day they were pronounced husband and wife.
Wanting to make each day count once the former cast member of
Big Brother and
Celebrity Big Brother received news of her grim prognosis after a valiant battle against cervical cancer, the couple became engaged on Valentine's Day. The proposal was swiftly followed by an exchange of rings on the banks of the River Thames before making their union official on February 22, 2009 at Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hertfordshire, England, the
Telegraph reports.
Dressed in an ivory and cream silk creation by designer Manuel Mota for Pronovias-- a £3,500 gown donated by Harrods owner Mohamed al-Fayed-- the bride pledged her devotion to her groom during a 45-minute ceremony witnessed by approximately 150 guests, including her two sons, who are still too young to understand that the ceremony-- which was covered by the UK edition of
OK! magazine for the sum of £750,00-- took place in part to secure their future.
Following the ceremony, jubilant songs performed by the Sugababes mingled inside a marquee with the laughter of family and friends as they enjoyed a reception feast of jellied eels, mussels and lobster tagliatelle before gathering outside to watch a fireworks display in the heavens.

Accustomed to the clang of the bell when he steps into the boxing ring, the future holds the sound of wedding bells for two-time IBF champion and former WBA Welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, thanks to an engagement ring.
According to the

22009: Celebrity Wedding Dresses Past and Present
As with every other bride, the wedding dress of a star is an expression of her hopes and dreams. Following are a few of the "I do" designs chosen by celebrity brides from yesterday and today:
The blush pink hue of
Lisa Loeb's strapless Amsale Blue Label gown and the bejeweled pendant adorning the garment's waist added a warm glow to the singer's wintertime walk down the aisle with her love, Roey Herskovitz.
Dubbed "Queen of the Telenovelas," Latin sensation
Thalia celebrated her first moment of matrimony in a regal, hand-embroidered masterpiece of silk, satin and tulle (seen in the photo to the left.) A $350,000 Mitzy creation 18 months in the making, the gown featured silver thread embellishments and Swarovski crystals which captured the lights inside St. Patrick's Cathedral as she walked past Julio Iglesias, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and 200 other illustrious guests.
As a Cinderella-style carriage bore the bride to the 50-yard line of the M&T Bank Stadium, a storybook silhouette was needed for
Shauna Chine's nuptials to football star
Daniel Wilcox. Pnina Tornai scored a touchdown in the design department with a strapless, curve-conscious creation which flared into rippling waves of fabric that cascaded behind the lady of the hour as she walked toward her groom. Draped over the bride's hair and tumbling atop the gown's train, a lace-edged veil enhanced the effect of opulence.
In celebration of their eternal love,
Twilight star
Peter Facinelli stood at the altar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Montecito, California back in 2001 and watched
90210 star
Jennie Garth glide down the aisle to the strains of Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major" in an off-the-shoulder, ivory silk creation by Reem Acra.
A vintage diamond choker made a dramatic accent to
Angela Bassett's gem of a dress on the day she wed actor Courtney B. Vance. Designed with a v-neckline, the silk Escada creation was paired with a French lace train which trailed four feet behind the bride.
Following her vows inside the Salt Lake Temple, the scarlet cape which draped over
High School Musical star
KayCee Stroh kept out the cold as she walked in snow as white as her Govavari Dupion silk Sottero and Midgley wedding dress.
Lisa Rinna, who today highlights the hits and misses of Hollywood stars on the red carpet, wore a definite fashion "do" to her wedding-- a gown created by designer to the stars Vera Wang. A diaphanous veil floating behind her topped the romantic look of the white, floor-length slip dress.
Sprigs of Snow Gum-- its bloom a reminder of her native Australia-- was nestled into the array of white roses and stephanotis which the former
Mary Donaldson carried on the day she donned a wedding dress designed by Uffe Frank (seen in the photo at left). Irish lace worn a century before by Crown Princess Margret of Sweden on the day she said "I do" framed the bride's face as she began her walk down the aisle, the Chantilly lace trim on the train of the duchess satin gown brushing gently against the red carpet as she made her way to the altar of Our Lady Lutheran Cathedral, where
Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik waited to make her his wife.
Like a visual interpretation of one of her power ballads,
Celine Dion's bridal attire featured dramatic flourishes. Light dancing off the facets of a seven-pound tiara accented with 2,000 Austrian crystals captured the attention of attendees as the pop superstar entered the Notre Dame Basilica in a fairytale frock created by Mirella and Steve Gentile.
NASCAR champion
Jeff Gordon's heart accelerated when he saw
Ingrid Vandebosch in her J. Mendel Couture wedding dress. Although showcasing daring decolletage, the gown's off-the-shoulder design, paired with a lace-trimmed veil, offered a hint of Regency romance.
A ruffled hem added a touch of flamenco flair to model
Tanya Callau's Oscar de la Renta gown (seen in the photo to the left,) which was paired with a diaphanous veil that bobbed in the breeze as the bride exchanged vows with
Growing Pains star
Alan Thicke on the grounds of the One & Only Palmilla Resort.
Andrew Firestone was
The Bachelor no more when
Ivana Bozilovic donned a Reem Acra gown and said "I do." The couple's two adorable fur babies-- an English bulldog named Twiggy and a beagle that answers to "Snoopy" were on hand to watch the bride walk down the aisle in the ivory silk and lace illusion creation.

Businessman Francois-Henri Pinault may be one of his country's richest men, but on February 14, 2009 the billionaire received a gift that is priceless-- a pledge of love from his bride, actress Salma Hayek.
Having received a Valentine from her beau in September 2007 in the form of their daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault, it seems only fitting that the silver screen beauty chose the day dedicated to devotion to exchange vows, transforming the City of Lights into The City of Love as they were united in matrimony at City Hall in the sixth arrondissement, according to

21309: Celebrity Engagement and Wedding Rings
The dazzle of a diamond is always captivating, especially if the carats top the ring of a Tinseltown star. Following are a few engagement and wedding rings that have sparkled on the left hands of celebrity brides and brides-to-be:
Over the years Altobelli Jewelers has supplied A-list accessories for a number of silver screen hits, including Sleepless in Seattle and The Princess Diaries. In 2005 the Hollywood store created "I do" designs for
Growing Pains star
Alan Thicke and his bride,
Tanya Callau (seen in the photo to the left.)
Like the graceful reality star who has waltzed into the hearts of television viewers, rays of light dance on the facets of
Karina Smirnoff's (
Dancing with the Stars) 3-carat Harry Winston platinum and diamond engagement ring. Making the stunner that much more special, the symbol of love was presented to the bride-to-be in a Louis Vuitton bag.
Since winning
America's Next Top Model,
Eva Marcille (formerly known as Eva Pigford) has not only ruled runways around the world, but has also strolled on to the set of
The Young and the Restless. Now she is planning on her walk down the aisle with actor Lance Gross after receiving a 3.36-carat diamond 1895 Pave Cartier engagement ring on Christmas Eve 2008.
Rules of Engagement star

From the acting roles she has chosen to the music she performs,
Majandra Delfino has always gone against the grain. Instead of a standard sparkler, a garnet ring graced the former
Roswell star's finger. Purchased at the Beverly Hills Watch Co., a gold wedding band from the same jeweler was added in October 2007 by former
My So-Called Life star
Devon Gummersall.
Valentine's Day will always hold a special meaning for Black Eyed Peas member
Taboo, who chose the holiday to present a 3-carat cushion cut design from Neil Lane to his love,
Jaymie Dizon.
Actor
Mekhi Phifer, who checked the heart rate of his patients during his stint on
ER, no doubt caused Oni Souratha's heart to skip a beat when he presented her with a 2.65-carat diamond solitaire set on a micro pave band from Jason of Beverly Hills.
The 9 1/2 carat diamond ring worn by
Jenna Jameson during her three year marriage to Jay Grdina is no longer on her finger, nor is the tattoo of her former husband's first name, which was inked into her skin beneath its band (as shown in the photo to the left.) Like the gem's many facets, however, the former queen of adult entertainment's smile continues to shine as she enters a new phase of her life with her love Tito Ortiz. The couple are currently awaiting the arrival of two bundles of joy.

American Idol finalist
LaKisha Jones' 4.5-carat diamond ring from Zales, the warm sentiment made the singer's engagement priceless.

1) Wearing a hue which harmonized with her Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance,
Carrie Underwood's golden Zuhair Murad gown was a hit. Dangle drop earrings from Johnathan Arndt jewelry added an extra dash of drama to the dress.
2)
Katy Perry, whose tongue-in-cheek lyrics have caused a number of music listeners to blush, chose the shade for her sashay down the red carpet. The provocative pink, Marilyn Monroe-style Basil Soda silhouette was paired with sparklers from H. Stern and Jacob & Co.
3) While she performed her touching coming of age tune "Fifteen" on stage with her best buddy Miley Cyrus, the black Kaufman Franco design
Taylor Swift donned left little doubt that the crossover cutie has transformed into a flawless, "Fearless" young woman.
4) While she may not be known for her vocal prowess, actress
Kate Beckinsale's Reem Acra gown struck just the right note as the British beauty introduced Paul McCartney's performance. Lorraine Schwartz jewelry complimented the dramatic design.
5) Blossoming into a lovely young lady, a floral flourish gives a youthful bloom to
Miley Cyrus' black, one-shoulder Herve Leger by Max Azria gown. Playful bracelets from Mimi So and Atelier Swarovski by Jonathan Saunders succeed in making the somber silhouette age appropriate for the sixteen-year-old star.
