Multi-Grammy Award winning country crooner Carrie Underwood may soon take on a new “Last Name”– that of her fiance, hockey star Mike Fisher. The Ottawa Sun reports that the center and alternate captain for the Ottawa Senators announced at a press conference that the crossover cutie accepted his proposal of marriage on December 20, 2009.

The happy news comes after a year-long courtship, held away from the camera’s glare. Currently enjoying their betrothed status, details of the pair’s impending I do’s have not yet been made public.
