On September 18, 2009 three-time Grammy winner Lucinda Williams celebrated both the beginning of her 30th Anniversary Tour and the start of a countdown to her first wedding anniversary as the singer said “I do” to her manager, Tom Overby.
Accustomed to grasping her guitar, the entertainer found herself clutching a bouquet of roses as she stood on stage in a black ensemble at the First Avenue venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fans who have followed her over the years as she bared her soul in song bore witness to her wedding before the bride once again stepped up to the mic for the concert’s encore, US magazine reported.
The ceremony was the culmination of a five-year romance which had led to a 2006 engagement.
