Daniel Radcliffe Filming "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows" in Wales

Although they offer a stellar sight, the celestial objects that blanket the sky each night are usually the only stars seen at Freshwater West Beach in South Pembrokeshire, West Wales. This summer, however, movie magic will conjure up an array of earth-bound stars to rival those in the heavens as cameras roll at the surfing sanctuary on two major cinematic productions.

The wind winding its way through the tangled tresses of Helena Bonham Carter’s character Bellatrix Lestrange lent an extra dash of doom as the actress waved her wand in the direction of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) in a pivotal scene from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, filmed on the pebble-strewn sands.

While a faithful representation of J.K. Rowling’s description of Shell Cottage which currently overlooks the waves that rush to the shore of Freshwater West Beach gives a supernatural aura to the stretch of beach, BBC News reports that the area will soon morph into the Middle Ages as director Ridley Scott scouts “Action!” for a scene from Robin Hood, the upcoming retelling of the legend which will star Russell Crowe as of Robin of Locksley and Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian.
