Comedian Cheech Marin Engaged

Counter-culture comedian Cheech Marin, best known as one-half of the drug-themed duo Cheech & Chong, is preparing to form a new partnership with the woman he loves.

Knowing that home is where the heart is, the actor-- who has recently appeared on the small screen as the father of Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on the ABC hit Lost-- is planning to pledge his devotion to pianist Natasha Rubin at their shared Malibu residence in a summertime ceremony, People magazine reports.

The couple's impending "I do" will follow a romance four and one-half years in the making, ultimately leading to a February 17, 2009 proposal at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles.
