Flowers have long been believed to possess a language all their own. While in Victorian times the choice of blossoms bore messages to their receiver, on the evening of March 28, 2009 Irish rugby star Brian O’Driscoll used a profusion of petals and stems to spell out the words which won over the heart of actress Amy Huberman– “Will You Marry Me?”
Knowing that home is where the heart is, the prospective groom chose the garden of their shared Dublin abode for the proposal, the Irish Independent reports.
The bride-to-be, known to television viewers from her role on the drama series The Clinic, will soon embark on a separate career path as a romance novelist. Her first tome to be released in the summer of 2009, the TV star may find inspiration in her own love story for another novel as she starts this latest chapter in her life.
Currently enjoying their first days of betrothed bliss, the pair have not announced a date for their impending walk down the aisle.
