Seventy-six years after Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers filmed their first onscreen dance together for the romantic musical Flying Down the Rio at the Copacabana Palace Hotel & Spa, today’s top Tinseltown twosome checked in to one of the 222 rooms and suites at Rio de Janeiro’s landmark retreat, the Daily Mail reported.
Taking time out from promoting his latest cinematic venture Valkyrie, Tom Cruise– along with wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri– enjoyed a few family outings during their stay in the city.
The couple mulled over the menu at Sushi Leblon, Rio’s top spot for Japanese cuisine and hopped aboard a helicopter which offered an overview of the city as it flew toward nearby Angra Dos Reis, where Suri searched for seashells that will be lasting souvenirs of their trip.
