13709: Denise Van Outen and Lee Mead Engaged

When Lee Mead auditioned for the reality TV contest Any Dream Will Do! in 2007, little did the aspiring star realize that he was embarking on a journey that would lead him not only to win the role of a lifetime in a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat– it would also lead to the love of a lifetime, Hello magazine revealed.

Following an 18-month-long romance, the singing star knelt on one knee and asked for the hand of TV presenter Denise Van Outen, one of the judges of Any Dream Will Do! (who US TV audiences will remember fulfilling the same role in the NBC reality series Grease: You’re The One That I Want!) Enjoying their first weeks of betrothed bliss, the pair packed their bags at their shared Kent residence and boarded a flight for St. Lucia.

The happy couple have not announced a date for their impending I do’s.
