Looking Back at Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen's 2002 Wedding
Charlie Sheen's love of baseball was a running thread throughout his June 2002 nuptials to actress Denise Richards, from the chorus of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" as the couple were introduced to assembled guests as husband and wife to a Gold Glove trophy bearing a likeness of the newlyweds, which was presented to the groom at the reception. Even the 85 friends and family members, including Jason Sehorn and Angie Harmon, Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy and Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora, received a souvenir of summer's favorite past time in the form of L.A. Dodgers caps as parting gifts, emblazoned with the the lovebird's initials.
The following photo captures a family snapshot of the happy day. Although their love was not to last, the union produced two daughters, Sam and Lola, who would watch their father exchange vows with Brooke Mueller on May 30, 2008.
Throughout his acting career, Charlie Sheen has grown accustomed to bringing the words of screenwriters to life. On the evening of May 30, 2008, however, the star of such diverse works as Platoon and the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men recited words not penned by a script writer, but rather by his own hand, as he professed his devotion to Brooke Mueller. According to OK magazine, the groom's father Martin Sheen, the TV Guide channel's Lisa Joyner (the wife of Sheen's Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer, who was unable to attend due to a prior engagement), actress Rebecca Gayheart and her husband, Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane and the groom's two daughters by former wife Denise Richards were among the intimate group of 60 who gathered at a Beverly Hills estate to witness the evening ceremony.
The bride walked down the aisle in an ivory Reem Acra creation, the path leading her to her leading man, who had donned a Pronto Uomo suit for the occasion. During the intimate I do's, the newly-dubbed Mrs. received a wedding band to accompany the 11-carat, yellow diamond engagement ring she has worn since July 2007, when the actor asked for her hand in marriage during a romantic getaway at the Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica.
Wanting nothing more than the presence of family and friends, the newlyweds requested that any gifts should be in the form of a donation to the Chrysalis charitable organization.
55408: Hotel Plays Role in Liv Tyler Movie "The Strangers"
Sweethearts in search of cinematic suspense this weekend need look no further than The Strangers, which hit theaters on May 30th. Filmed in the cozy community of Florence, South Carolina, the beauty of a wedding scene lensed partially at the Hilton Garden Inn holds no hint of the peril that lies in store for the movie's main characters, played by Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, as the plot line progresses, scnow.com reports. The 8-story, 186-guest room hotel is a popular "I do" destination for couples, offering a spacious grand ballroom and the assistance of an on-site wedding planner.
Although production on the fright flick ended back in December 2006, the cast have fond memories of their stay in the South Carolina city. In the following Movieweb clip, Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman reminisce about crooning tunes at a karaoke bar and attending a Florence festival.
55308: Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson Dine at Tere's Mexican Grill
Customers standing in line for arguably the best Mexican food on Melrose Avenue were happy to discover an A-lister mulling over the menu alongside them as Lindsay Lohan and her gal pal Samantha Ronson ordered a leisurely lunch at Tere's Mexican Grill, an eatery that has become a hit among Hispanic stars, as the signed photos on its wall of fame attests. Seated below an array of fake parrots and maracas that dangle from the ceiling, the Mean Girls star, whose features were photo-ready thanks to an earlier appointment at the Neil George Salon, enjoyed sampling the south of the border fare before facing the throng of paparazzi waiting outside the diner's door.
LiLo and the haberdasherie-happy DJ are back in L.A. after May jaunts to New York's Peninsula Hotel and the Eden Roc Hotel in Cap d'Antibes, France, where the blonde beauty was spotted soaking up some rays.
55208: Football Star Larry Johnson Engaged to BET Host
As the former host of BET network's 106 & Park and a correspondent on The Black Carpet, Julissa Bermudez became accustomed to reporting the top entertainment news stories of the day. In mid-May 2008, however, the TV presenter became the news as she and her beau of the past three years, Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, announced their plans to pledge their love in a wedding ceremony. According to the Las VegasReview-Journal, the happily betrothed pair recently partied the night away at Pure nightclub inside Caesars Palace during a soiree held in celebration of their impending I do's.
The couple made a pronouncement regarding the proposal after returning from a romantic springtime sojourn to St. Peter, Barbados. A date for their walk down the aisle has not been announced.
Throughout three seasons of the VH1 series Flavor of Love, 65 women battled for the coveted clocks that would keep them both on the show and one step closer to winning the heart of performer turned reality star Flavor Flav. While Hoopz, Deelishis, Thing 2 and two-time runner-up New York all felt that they would be the regal rapper's queen, during the final reunion show the television audience discovered that it is Liz, the mother of his youngest child, who truly knows what time it is.
Prophetically naming their son Karma, Flavor Flav (aka William Drayton) knelt on one knee to present an engagement ring to the woman he was fated to love. The happy couple have not disclosed a wedding date.
Reality TV fans can take a peek at the proposal in the following VH1 clip:
Weeks after saying "I do," Mr. and Mrs. Hager said "aloha" to the Hawaiian island of Maui, People magazine online reports. As the thermometer rose into the mid-90's back on the Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, where the couple were wed, Hawaii's second largest island was blessed with a balmy 82 degree temperature, which the former Jenna Bush and her newly-dubbed husband enjoyed as they basked in the sun on a golden sand beach on May 28, 2008. (Pre-wedding reports indicated the the pair would travel in Europe for their honeymoon.)
The tanned twosome will soon make an appearance in Washington D.C., according to the Austin American-Statesman. Anthony Camargo and Nak Armstrong, the design duo behind Anthony Nak jewelry, are reportedly among those to receive an invitation to a White House party to be thrown in honor of the pair on June 21, 2008.
54908: New York Giants Star Antonio Pierce's Wedding
Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer. For New York Giants middle linebacker Antonio Pierce and his lady love, Mets Weekly host Jocelyn Maldonado, the holiday also marked the start of their new life together as husband and wife. On May 24, 2008, as the sun began to descend on south Maui, the bride clutched a bouquet of white orchids and peach-petaled roses and began her walk down the aisle.
According to InStyle Weddings, the bride chose a white chiffon gown designed with an intricately detailed bodice and a plunging neckline, its pristine beauty enhanced with the addition of the white flowers that adorned her upswept hair, while the groom opted for a beige suit paired with a white shirt sporting a stand up collar. The couple's happiness was captured for posterity by photographer Eric Lamph, who also immortalized the I do's of NationalGeographic Explorer host Lisa Ling and Paul Song in 2007.
A platinum Neil Lane engagement ring crowned with a cushion-cut diamond led to a February 23, 2002 walk down the aisle in a pair of Chanel shoes for country crooner LeAnn Rimes at Southern Methodist University's Perkins Chapel. Standing at the altar in her Vera Wang gown, the Grammy Award winner received a platinum and diamond wedding band purchased from the same famed jeweler by her husband, Dean Sheremet.
Now a part of Denmark's royal family, Princess Marie (formerly Marie Cavallier) will always have a touching reminder of her homeland whenever she gazes at the engagement ring she received during a romantic excursion to Turkey with the man she would marry, Prince Joachim. Adorned with a ruby, a diamond and a sapphire, the precious gems symbolize the French flag.
54808: Prince William and Kate Middleton Enjoy the Mystique of Mustique
Soon to embark on a three-month stint with the Royal Navy, Prince William will carry with him the memory of his romantic rendezvous with Kate Middleton on the island of Mustique. The West Indies idyll has long held an allure for members of the monarchy-- in 1966 Queen Elizabeth made a private sojourn to the southern Caribbean's 1,400 acres, while the late Princess Margaret chose the palm-laden paradise for a holiday home.
According to The Daily Mail, the doors of Mustique's Villa Alumbrera recently opened for a visit from the second in line to the throne and his lady love. The restless waves of the Atlantic Ocean lulled the couple to sleep at night after days spent enjoying the venue's amenities, swimming in the azure waters and leaving their footprints on the white sands of Macaroni Beach.
54708: Christina Aguilera Dines at The Little Door
Over the holiday weekend, the flash of photogs' flashbulbs illuminated Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman's path to their vehicle as the couple emerged from The Little Door restaurant. Max Liron's parents, who have enjoyed two and a half years of wedded bliss, took time out from their busy schedules for a "date night" at the dining establishment deemed "The best romantic restaurant in L.A." While a number of notables have mulled over the eatery's Mediterranean-style menu, The Little Door restaurant is a paparazzi magnet all on its own, having shared the screen with Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez in the box office hit Monster-In-Law.
Later in the night, the pulsating rhythm of music spun by Dustin Hoffman's son greeted the platinum pop princess and her husband as they walked inside Villa Lounge, Melrose Avenue's music mecca for West Hollywood's happening crowd.
54608: Charlie Sheen's Fiancee Enjoys Bridal Shower
Preparing to set sail for a life together with actor Charlie Sheen, The Warehouse restaurant's nautical theme provided a ship shape locale for soon-to-wed Brooke Mueller's bridal shower, OK magazine online reports. The towering palms which guard the Marina del Rey, California eatery were silent witnesses as actress Rebecca Gayheart, surely thinking back to her own 2004 "I do" day with Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane, walked past the moored yachts bobbing in the water and the antique whiskey barrels that decorate the dining establishment on her way to the afternoon fete. (The former Nip/Tuck cast member will have yet another reason to reminisce about her wedding to "McSteamy" when her upcoming romantic comedy For Better or for Worse hits theaters.)
The bride-to-be does not have long to wait before the Two and a Half Men star presents her with a wedding band to accompany her 11-carat, radiant cut yellow diamond engagement ring from jeweler Alon Barak, which the prospective groom slipped on her finger during a romantic getaway at the Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica. OK magazine announced that the happy couple are planning to exchange vows on May 30, 2008.
Brooke Mueller offered a close up view of her 11-carat sparkler in the following photo, taken in 2007 at the launch of the Tweety Designer Collection at the Warner Brothers Tweety Boutique:
54508: "American Idol" Contestant Carly Smithson To Renew Wedding Vows
Songbird Carly Smithson may have only reached sixth place in her quest to become season seven's American Idol, but the reality TV contestant has long held the number one position in the heart of her husband, tattoo artist Todd Smithson. Walking in the footsteps of chart-topping legends Judy Garland, Britney Spears and The Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines before her, the aspiring singer said "I do" to her love at A Little White Chapel back in 2004.
According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal, the couple are hoping to reaffirm their devotion to each other with a vow renewal ceremony in the same Vegas venue where their lives together began. Carly Smithson will return to the Neon City on July 5, 2008 as part of the American Idols Live tour.
54408: "High School Musical" Star KayCee Stroh Engaged
While her character Martha Cox might wear a class ring to remember her days at East High, actress KayCee Stroh will forever fondly recall her days on the set of High School Musical 3: Senior Year whenever she looks at her engagement ring. The rising star confided to People magazine online that her beau Ben Higginson greeted her after a night of filming and escorted her to H Rock for a panoramic view of the sunrise over the community which holds all of her childhood memories-- Salt Lake City, Utah. As morning broke on May 24, 2008 a new life together also dawned for the couple as her prospective groom knelt on one knee and slipped a ring crowned with a princess cut solitaire diamond embraced by pave diamonds on her finger.
Just as music has played a role in introducing KayCee Stroh to her fans around the world, music also played a part in bringing the two lovebirds together, as the pair met in 2007 at a concert. The bride-to-be, who will celebrate her 24th birthday on May 29th, is currently making plans for a walk down the aisle late in the calendar year.
For fans eager for HSM3, KayCee Stroh gives a tour of the Salt Lake City high school where the action takes place in the following Popstar Magazine clip:
Dancing on the breeze, Marie Cavallier's lace-edged tulle veil seemed to mirror the joy in the bride's heart on the afternoon on May 24, 2008 as she stood by her father's side outside of Møgeltønder Church and waited for the start of a ceremony which would unite her in matrimony with the fourth in line to Denmark's throne. A romance punctuated with a proposal during a trip to Turkey in the summer of 2007 led the French beauty to this moment in which she stepped upon a red carpet, its path leading her toward a flower-festooned altar where Prince Joachim, dressed in an infantry uniform, hugged his two young sons as he waited for the arrival of his bride.
Seventy-three years ago to the day, Queen Ingrid, a princess at the time, clutched a bouquet of white lilies on her way to say "I do" to Crown Prince Frederik. Her memory was lovingly interwoven into the grandeur of this wedding day as the same fragrant flower joining an array of cream roses, winter barley (representing the land in Schackenborg where the couple will reside) and myrtle from Fredensborg Palace carried by Marie Cavallier as she was escorted down the aisle to the strains of "Sarabande Tres Tendrement" by French composer Francois Couperin.
The glint of diamonds from a tiara lent by Queen Margrethe, the bride's new mother-in-law, sparkled in the light as the bride walked past an assemblage of royalty, including Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria, Greek Crown Prince Pavlos and his wife Marie Chantal and Norway's Crown Prince Haakon, who stood in her honor as she strolled past in an off-white gown from Arasa Morelli, a creation lined with ivory silk faille and detailed with raised satin stitch flowers and Calais lace.

As tradition dictates, the couple took their places in the center of a heart fashioned from roses as they pledged their love to one another. Symbolizing their devotion, the groom received a band of gold, while the bride was presented with an 18-karat gold band accented with six brilliant-cut diamonds to accompany her ruby, diamond and sapphire engagement ring.
Following the nuptials, the newlyweds and invited guests convened at Schackenborg Castle for the reception. Guests enjoyed a regal repast of beef tenderloin with summer truffles, turbot with scallops and fjord shrimps and wadden sea oysters-- a feast topped with slices of an eight-tier wedding cake.

For the past 200 years, brides in the Danish royal family gave carried sprigs of myrtle down the aisle. The tradition continued on May 24, 2008 as Marie Cavallier clutched cuttings of the flowering plant along with cream-petaled roses, white lilies, winter barley and green Camellia leaves. The botanical beauty was the creation of florist Jan Munch of Munch & Levison, who also arranged floral finery for the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary.
The following photo also showcases the elegance of Queen Margrethe's diamond diadem, which graced the bride's head on her special day.
A lace-lined tulle veil provided an extra touch of romance to the bride's Calais lace-accented wedding dress from Swiss design duo David Arasa and Claudio Morelli of Arasa Morelli. The gown's three-meter-long train gently brushed the scarlet aisle runner as the French-born beauty walked toward an altar adorned with a botanical blend of white belladonna, larkspurs, white and cream-hued roses, plumoses, winter barley and white lilies.
The Silver Cross of the Order of Dannebrog and King Frederik IX's Centenary Medal glistened in the afternoon sun as Prince Joachim walked toward Mogeltonder Church, but the shine was still not as bright as the beaming smile on the groom's face as he received the congratulations of well-wishers.
Young Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix, the groom's sons from his previous marriage, were proud to stand at their father's side on his wedding day. In a touching paternal display, the prince would hug his children as he stood at the altar and waited the arrival of his bride.
Prince Joachim and Marie Cavallier Kiss After Wedding
Wearing wedding bands from jeweler Mette Rosgaard, the royal newlyweds kiss beneath an arch of swords as they exit Mogeltonder Church. A wedding banquet awaited at Schackenborg Castle, where the newlyweds enjoyed slices of an eight-tier, octagonal cake garnished with sugar and caramel flowers, birds, bows emblazoned with the colors of the bride and groom's home countries, and a crown motif.
On March 3, 2007 spring, a time of new beginnings, was just around the corner according to the calendar. For the former wife of Denmark's Prince Joachim, however, the season which brings new life had already begun as she happily exchanged the royal title of Princess for that of Mrs. Martin Jorgensen. Approximately 120 friends and family members gathered at the Oster Egede church in Fakse to watch the bride, now known as the Countess of Frederiksborg, walk down the aisle in a champagne satin silhouette created by Henrik Hviid.
Having designed several special occasion gowns for Her Excellency Alexandra Christina during her years as a royal, the bride once again turned to Henrik Hviid to concoct a creation for the happiest day of her life. The Danish designer applied thousands of rose and gold-tinted pearls and crystals to the wedding dress, which was paired with a ribbon-edged, chapel-length veil.
Eschewing a traditional tiara, dainty white flowers woven into the bride's upswept hair provided a touch of innocence to the ensemble.
From his sensitive portrayals of Hubbell Gardner in The Way We Were and Denys Finch Hatton in Out of Africa to his directorial and environmental achievements, silver screen legend Robert Redford has won the hearts of fans the world over. According to Bunte magazine, the Academy Award winner is now ready to take on his most important role to date-- that of husband to his long-time love, Sibylle Szaggars.
The bride-to-be, a German artist who has captured on canvas the essence of exotic cultures as well as the Utah area which she and her love now call home, has captivated the movie idol for the past 12 years. The happy couple, still enjoying their current betrothed status, have not set a wedding date.
The always on patrol paparazzi recently spotted two of Hugh Hefner's honeys, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, indulging their passion for fashion with a springtime shopping spree down Robertson Boulevard. Browsing for a friend with a new baby, the reality TV stars perused for purchases first at Kitson Kids.
Evidence of its recent May 16, 2008 opening, pink balloons bobbed in the breeze at the entrance of Kira Plastinina, the eponymous venture of an adolescent Russian designer with an eye for cute, contemporary attire. The Girls Next Door were among the first to cross the threshold of the boulevard's latest boutique, which is set to open a new Beverly Hills branch on May 24th, according to Racked LA.
In this LAphoto clip, follow the pretty Playboy pair as they promenade down the pavement and find out their replies when asked about the California Supreme Court's new ruling on same-sex marriage:
Taking her cue from her role as the Invisible Woman in The Fantastic Four, actress Jessica Alba pulled a disappearing act of her own on May 19, 2008, escaping the prying eyes of the paparazzi in order to exchange vows with her love Cash Warren in a private ceremony. As is the custom with the publicity-shy pair, "I do" details were not forthcoming.
The happy couple, who have been an item since 2004, announced their engagement in December 2007, at which time US magazine reports that the bride-to-be began sporting a 5-carat diamond engagement ring. The newlyweds will soon have another reason to rejoice, as they await the arrival of their daughter this summer.
Fans eager to see more of the ALMA Award-nominated star, Jessica Alba will return to the silver screen in the upcoming comedy The Love Guru on June 20, 2008.
UPDATE: According to People magazine online, Jessica Alba donned a blue dress for a simple noon ceremony at the Beverly Hills Courthouse. The big screen beauty was not the first celebrity bride to stand beneath the the courthouse chapel's flower-adorned arch. Pamela Anderson tied the knot with Kid Rock at the same venue on August 3, 2008 following their Saint Tropez ceremony.
Readers often write in to ask for "I do" details about their favorite celebrities, so Lovetripper magazine is introducing a new reader mail section. Some of the most frequently asked questions involve royal weddings, such as the enquiry below:
Q: Reading media coverage of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly's recent ceremony has made me nostalgic about the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen-- that of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. An impressionable girl of 14 at the time, I can remember waking up at four in the morning so I could "be a part" of the nuptials.
Twenty-seven years later, I find myself helping with arrangements for my own daughter's special day. She's always been my little princess, and I would love for her to walk down the aisle to the same music chosen by Princess Diana. Do you know the name of the music played during the processional?
Brooke Chicago, Illinois
A: Your daughter would enjoy a regal walk down the aisle if accompanied by "Trumpet Voluntary" by 17th century composer Jeremiah Clarke. Often referred to as "The Prince of Denmark's March," the classic composition not only rang out in St. Paul's Cathedral on July 29, 1981 as Lady Diana Spencer strolled to the altar on her way to becoming the Princess of Wales -- the tune also escorted the most recent addition to the royal family, Autumn Kelly, as she entered St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
As Kristi Yamaguchi attempts to win the coveted disco ball trophy on Dancing with the Stars, Lovetripper takes a look back to the day the Olympic gold medalist waltzed down the aisle with her husband, hockey player Bret Hedican:
The blast of a conch shell rang out over the grounds of Hawaii's Mauna Lani Hotel on July 8, 2000, heralding the arrival of figure skating icon Kristi Yamaguchi, who glided past 300 friends and family members in her Vera Wang gown to the tune "Hawaiian Love Song" on her way to the groom, who stood beneath a pergola festooned with flowers. Mirroring the early evening sky, the brides chapel-length veil was a diaphanous cloud floating in a light breeze as she exchanged vows with her love, while the diamonds on her Fred Leighton tiara sparkled like the stars that would soon appear overhead.
According to InStyle Weddings, a shower of fragrant orchid and rose petals sprinkled by the assembled guests and six bridesmaids in periwinkle blue dresses from Laundry by Shelli Segal christened the couple's marriage as they took their first steps together as husband and wife, heading to the resort's ballroom. As attendees, which included fellow Olympians Scott Hamilton, Brian Boitano and Peggy Fleming, dined on seared tuna-and-shrimp followed by filet mignon and Hawaiian snapper, the newlyweds took to the dance floor to sway to a contemporary classic which summed up their special day-- "I Could Not Ask For More."
Actor George Takei, who flew among the stars aboard the USS Enterprise as Sulu in the sci-fi cult classic Star Trek, is currently floating on a cloud, having announced on May 16, 2008 that his 21-year romance with Brad Altman will lead to a trip down the aisle. The actor, who has won over a new generation of fans for his appearances on the NBC hit Heroes, openly proclaimed his sexual orientation in October 2005.
After their long wait to have their love legally recognized, the happy couple declared their intention to say "I do" one day after the California Supreme Court lifted the ban on gay marriage. The pair are presently enjoying their first days of betrothed bliss as they decide on wedding details, the TV icon confided on his official web site.
The rain drops which fell over Windsor Castle on May 17, 2008 served only to christen the impending marriage of Peter Phillips, 11th in line to the throne, and his love Autumn Kelly as the Queen's maroon Bentley bore the bride to St. George's Chapel, a house of worship which has welcomed a number of royal brides over the years. Queen Alexandra strolled through the entrance on her way to wed King Edward VII in 1863, as did the former Sophie Rhys-Jones during her 1999 wedding to Prince Edward and The Duchess of Cornwall, who received a blessing of her union with Prince Charles inside the house of worship in 2005. On this day it was a Canadian beauty's turn to walk up the chapel steps, her six bridesmaids attending to her Swiss silk tulle veil and the cathedral-length train of her ivory silk satin Sassi Holford gown, which was paired with a Chantilly lace shrug, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The regal strains of the Prince of Denmark's March by Jeremiah Clarke rang out inside the chapel as the bride walked past 300 friends and family members, the light dancing on the diamond studded tiara belonging to her new mother-in-law Princess Anne as she made her way toward the altar. During the 55-minute ceremony, guests listened intently to the hymn "Now Thank We All Our God" and a reading of Shakespeare's Sonnet 116 by Princess Eugenie, then watched as the bride received a wedding band to accompany her three-diamond, white gold engagement ring.
Read about the wedding reception after the following video:
Church bells peeled after the ceremony as bridesmaids in celadon-colored Vera Wang gowns and members of the royal family waved as the newlyweds were whisked away in a horse-drawn carriage to Frogmore House for the reception. The former home of Queen Victoria welcomed Prince Harry and his girlfriend Chelsey Davy, who had just made her first appearance with the Queen; Kate Middleton-- who celebrated with Prince William's family as he attended a wedding in Kenya-- and 350 other guests, who dined on Cornish crab and Welsh lamb according to Hello magazine, which will feature exclusive coverage of the event.
Home is where the heart is, according to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, who were pronounced husband and wife in a tent erected at the Encino, California residence of the bride's parents on May 17, 2008. The couple made the evening a family affair, with the bride's sister Jessica Simpson acting as maid of honor and father Joe Simpson hearkening back to his days as a pastor to unite the pair in matrimony during a non-denominational service, while the groom's four-legged family member-- his bulldog, Hemingway-- proudly trotted down the aisle in his role as ring bearer.
According to People magazine online, Scrubs star Donald Faison, CaCee Cobb, the Simpson sister's "mane" man Ken Paves, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and Tony Romo were among the 150 guests who bore witness as bridesmaids in Vera Wang creations strolled past before the bride made her grand entrance in an ivory, lace-accented Monique Lhuillier design, the facets of her Neil Lane diamond earrings and necklace sparkling in the light cast by black chandeliers as she made her way toward the altar, where the groom stood in a Dior Homme tuxedo, waiting to make her his wife.
Following the nuptials, the newlyweds and their friends sat at tables adorned with black rose centerpieces and dined on cuisine concocted by Wolfgang Puck. The feast was topped with slices of an Alice in Wonderland-themed cake-- the tea pot, top hat and stop watch images the work of Napa bakery Perfect Endings, which also created confection perfection for Jessica Simpson's wedding in 2002.
Although their six-month romance ended back in 1963, the fire of true love is never extinguished-- a fact perennial small screen siren Loni Anderson learned when she contacted her old flame, folk singer Bob Flick, five years ago. The couple's rekindled feelings led to a trip down the aisle on May 17, 2008, when the bride's granddaughters, each wearing a diamond heart necklace which had accented the beauty of the actress in the movie Stroker Ace, sprinkled rose petals along a path taken next by the bride's daughter in her role as maid of honor. Making her grand entrance, the former star of WKRP In Cincinnati linked arms with her son and walked down the aisle, smiling at the intimate group of friends who admired her strapless Monique Lhuillier gown.
The newlyweds will soon sit down to write thank you notes for gifts purchased at Williams-Sonoma, where the couple set up a wedding registry, Entertainment Tonight reports.
