121908: Andrea Corr of The Corrs Engaged

Like the title of their most famous hit, The Corrs' lead vocalist Andrea Corr was left "Breathless" by Brett Desmond,her beau of the past two years, when he asked for her hand in marriage, the Belgraph Telegraph reports.

The singer began dreaming of her impending "I do" on Christmas Day, when her love slipped a diamond engagement ring reportedly valued at 70,000 euros on her finger during a romantic getaway to the Sandy Lane Hotel, the 5-star sanctuary in Barbados which played a role in the wedding of golfing great Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren in 2004. (The father of the prospective groom is the co-owner of the romantic resort.)

Currently taking a break from The Corrs, the bride-to-be will be concentrating both on her solo career and her summer 2009 wedding in the months ahead.
