Having set their course for a lifetime of love together, athlete Sarah Ayton– who, along with her team mates, sailed a keelboat to a gold medal victory in the 2008 Beijing Olympic games– and her fiance since 2001, windsurfing Olympic bronze medalist Nick Dempsey, predict smooth sailing ahead as they ventured out into the uncharted waters of matrimony on October 9, 2008. Her team mates Pippa Wilson and Sarah Webb looking on, the bride walked down the aisle in an ivory-hued gown, its beauty enhanced with the addition of a bolero jacket and a bustle train which gently brushed the aisle as she walked to the altar at Holy Trinity Church in Weymouth, Dorset, England.

Following the exchange of vows, sports-minded married couple embarked on a honeymoon excursion to Scotland, the Daily Mail reports. Their canine companion– a Cocker Spaniel named Ringo– by their side, the newlyweds plan to tour the land in a camper van loaded with mountain bikes and surfboards so the pair can experience the sights by land and by sea.
