101208: "Coronation Street" Star Tupele Dorgu Engaged

Fans of the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street who have followed the highs and lows of factory girl Kelly Crabtree's life were among the first to be privy to the pronouncement that Tupele Dorgu, the actress who portrays the popular character, is planning her real life walk down the aisle. Corrieblog revealed that Mark Flanagan, the TV star's love of over two years, asked for her hand in marriage with a ring secretly hidden inside a box of mints.

Although news of the impending nuptials was officially proclaimed on October 9, 2008, wedding whispers have circulated since August, when the Manchester Evening News reported that the soap star paid a visit to her hometown of Preston, where she shopped for her wedding wardrobe at Dan Kerr Brides.

Currently enjoying their betrothed status, the couple have not announced a wedding date.
