100708: "American Idol" Star LaKisha Jones Marries
The title of LaKisha Jones' upcoming single "So Glad I'm Me" certainly captured the American Idol sixth season finalist's frame of mind on October 5, 2008 as she said "I do" to her love, Larry Davis. According to Us magazine, approximately 50 guests, including the bride's former competitors turned pals Sanjaya Malakar, Gina Glocksen and Melinda Doolittle, gathered inside the ForbesLife Penthouse Suite at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and admired the view of Beverly Hills' famed Rodeo Drive before the ceremony commenced.A trail of red rose petals, sprinkled by the singer's young daughter Brianna, paved a path for the bride as she waited for the melody of "Endless Love" to cue her entrance. The warm glow of candlelight dancing on the Swarovski crystals that embellished her Stuart Weitzman shoes, the reality TV star walked down the aisle in a pure white, strapless Alfred Angelo design created with a sweetheart neckline and a pick up skirt. Harmonizing with his bride, the groom-- who had asked for his love's hand in marriage in June 2008-- had donned an all white suit for the occasion.
Following the black and white-themed wedding, the newlyweds embarked on a honeymoon excursion to Barbados.

Good news for you Melinda Doolittle fans! She’s set to release her debut album titled, Coming Back to You on Hi-Fi Recordings in January 09. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Run DMC, The Jonas Brothers), Coming Back to You was recorded with a team of live musicians in Nashville and New York City.
The first single, “It’s Your Love” will be released to radio in October.
