The two Step Up stars have been stepping out on the sands at their hotel since early September, when the actor, who will share screen time with Johnny Depp in the upcoming crime drama Public Enemies, asked for his love’s hand in marriage and slipped a 4-carat diamond engagement ring from Neil Lane on her finger.

Soon after unpacking his swim trucks frequent flier Channing will load up his luggage with clothing fit for the cooler climate of Charleston, South Carolina, as the silver screen star starts filming the romantic drama Dear John in mid-October. Based on the best seller by Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook and Nights in Rodanthe, the actor is set to play the romantic lead opposite Mamma Mia!’s Amanda Seyfried.
