While David Otunga missed out on a chance of romance with New York (Tiffany Pollard) as the contestant dubbed “Punk” on VH1’s I Love New York 2, the reality TV personality has found his “Dreamgirl” in Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson. The couple, who have been an item for less than one year, became betrothed on the night of September 12, 2008 as the former American Idol finalist celebrated her 27th birthday in Los Angeles, People magazine online reported. Among the presents she received for her special day was a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring.
No announcement has been made regarding when the bride-to-be, who belted out “All Dressed in Love” for the Sex and the City soundtrack, will don her dream “I do” dress. Embarking on a new professional as well as personal chapter in her life, Ms. Hudson is currently preparing for the release of her debut CD, to be released September 30, 2008.
