81808: Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon on Vacation

Travelers taking in the scenery on the Italian island of Sardinia recently may have been fortunate enough to spot Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon "(Reach Up For The) Sunrise" as he enjoyed a day of seaside activities with his wife Yasmin and their family. Having completed a European summer tour which took this band from Cologne, Germany to Malta, Italy, the leader of the iconic new wave group is relaxing on the waves of the Mediterranean during a holiday aboard a yacht owned by de Grisogono jewelry founder Fawaz Gruosi, according to Splash News.

The '80's icon is just one of several celebrities who have been drawn to Sardinia this summer. In recent weeks the island's residents have welcomed Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, George Clooney, Heidi Klum and Seal, Kate Moss and tenor Andrea Bocelli. Sardinia's village of Porto Cervo has also inspired romance this summer for tennis legend Boris Becker, who proposed to Alessandra "Sandy" Meyer-Woelden during their stay at the idyllic Italian retreat, and classic crooner Paul Anka, who wed Anna Aberg at the Hotel Cala di Volpi in late July 2008.
