81708: Tennis Great Boris Becker Engaged

It's love all for tennis icon Boris Becker and Alessandra "Sandy" Meyer-Woelden, according to the German newspaper Bild. Familiarity between the two, who have known each other since the 1990's when the bride-to-be's father was the Wimbledon champion's manager, slowly grew into a romantic relationship which now holds the promise of a lifetime together. Their 16-year age difference proving not to be an obstacle, the king of the tennis courts proposed with an engagement ring topped with two diamonds on August 10, 2008 during a getaway to Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy.

This will be the second marriage for the one-time number one ranked tennis player in the world, who was formerly the husband of actress/designer Barbara Feltus. Currently enjoying their first days as a betrothed couple, the pair have not announced a date for their impending walk down the aisle.
