81108: Jewel and Ty Murray's Wedding

Although the message on her official web site gave little indication that her six-day getaway with seven-time World All-Around Rodeo Champion Ty Murray would include a wedding and honeymoon, fans need only to listen to the lyrics of her latest single to realize that singer/songwriter Jewel has been dreaming of a perfect "I Do" moment. On August 7, 2008, People magazine reports that the multi-platinum selling performer donned traditional bridal attire to say "You were meant for me, and I was meant for you" to her love of the past decade, who smiled beneath the brim of his cowboy hat as he slipped a wedding band on the singer's finger.

The Cove Atlantis, a 22-story all-suite tower on the aptly-named Paradise Island in the Bahamas was a silent witness as the couple stood on sands that stretch out to the ocean and pledged their devotion during a nighttime ceremony. Following their honeymoon, the pair will return to their 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, a Texas town dubbed the "Cowboy Capital of the World."
