74108: Chris Evert and Greg Norman’s Safari Honeymoon (Photo)

While golfing great Greg Norman is back in the swing of things with his July appearances at both the 137th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England and the Senior Open Championship in Troon, Scotland, “The Shark” recently exchanged the putting green for the wide open plains of South Africa as he and his new Mrs., tennis icon Chris Evert, enjoyed a honeymoon hideaway at Singita Lodge. Dubbed the “Place of Miracles,” the queen of the tennis court of the ruler of the fairway came face to face with the king of the jungle as they snapped pictures while on safari.

The two sports legends are not the first notable newlyweds to celebrate their first days of wedded bliss in the wilds of South Africa this year. Following their May 2008 march down the aisle, Peter Phillips (the son of Britain’s Princess Anne) and his bride, the former Autumn Kelly, embarked on a journey to the Tuningi Safari Lodge on the Madikwe Game Reserve, where the couple jumped into a jeep for a photo exploration of an exotic Eden inhabited by elephants, hyenas and leopards.
