The love between Prince Charles-Philippe d’Orleans, Duke of Anjou and Diana Alvares Pereira de Melo, Duchess of Cadaval, led to both a diamond and ruby engagement ring and an announcement on September 7, 2007. Standing in the rose garden on the grounds of Chateau d’Eu, the happy couple proclaimed that they would be pronounced husband and wife in June 2008 in the bride- to-be’s homeland of Portugal.
