Celebrity Engagement Rings: Coleen McLoughlin
On June 12, 2008, Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney fulfilled a promise of building a life together with Coleen McLoughlin-- a promise which began with a proposal inside his car at a petrol station. On October 1, 2003, the bride-to-be, just 17 years old at the time, received an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, reportedly valued at $46,000.
