65808: Possible Wedding Venue for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

The palm trees that line the lawn at the Riviera Resort and Spa have been silent witnesses over the years as such vacationing VIPs as Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra have checked into the Palm Springs, California retreat. According to a report from the New York Post, the names of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and and her long time love, actress Portia de Rossi, may soon be added to the list of luminaries as indications point toward the couple exchanging vows at the venue.

Currently in the midst of a $70 million makeover which is scheduled for completion this fall, the couple are pondering the prospect of holding their wedding ceremony in the garden area of the 24-acre sanctuary, followed by a reception in the Grand Ballroom, which is decorated with crystal chandeliers that will sparkle like the pink diamonds and 3-karat marquis cut diamond that adorn Portia de Rossi's $60,000 Neil Lane engagement ring.
