65308: Jennifer Garner and Daughter Visit Lake Shrine (Video)

Seeking solace from the daily stresses of stardom, actress Jennifer Garner enjoyed quality time with her daughter Violet on June 26, 2008 at the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, California. The mirrored surface of the site’s tranquil lake reflected not only the smiling faces of the former Alias star and her child as they stood on the houseboat landing and fed the white swans that call the 10-acre grounds home, but also the Golden Lotus Archway which frames the sarcophagus where a portion of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes have found a final resting place and the windmill chapel where the family of ex-Beatle George Harrison said their goodbyes to the music legend.

A sanctuary for the soul which embraces all of the world’s religions, the Lake Shrine is visited by thousands of sightseers each year who, like Jennifer Garner, meander among the meditation garden’s botanical blending of Japanese black pines, Mexican weeping bamboo, cactus and ferns which together create a harmonious hideaway from nearby Sunset Boulevard. Visitors are welcome at the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine each Tuesday through Sunday.
