While John Roberts (also known as Lil John) provides the back beat for R&B sensation Jill Scott's songs for her concert appearances, during her set at Carnegie Hall on June 20, 2008 the drummer caused the multi-Grammy Award winner's heart to skip a beat as he presented the songstress with a bouquet of yellow roses and a kiss. According to Rolling Stone, the famed New York City theater rang out with the sound of applause after the lip lock as the singer announced to the crowd that her admirer was, in fact, her future husband.

Making beautiful music together on tour as she promote her latest CD, fittingly titled "The Real Thing: Words and Music Vol. 3," Scott and her prospective groom have not announced a wedding date.
