63208: Soccer Star Ian Murray's Wedding
While all eyes were focused on soccer star Wayne Rooney's Italian I do's with Coleen McLoughlin on June 12, 2008, another famous footballer was preparing to exchange vows with his childhood love. Choosing a locale closer to home, the Hiberian club team member became the husband of Julie Richardson during a civil wedding ceremony held on June 14, 2008 in the Great Hall at Lennoxlove House, a 14th century manor which today is home to several artifacts once belonging to Mary Queen of Scots.According to the Edinburgh Evening News, fellow footballers Chris Burke, Gary Caldwell and Peter Lovenkrands were among the 110 friends and family members to watch the bride walk down the aisle, carrying a bouquet of roses.
The couple are currently enjoying a honeymoon excursion to Dubai.
