Marie Cavallier's Wedding Bouquet
For the past 200 years, brides in the Danish royal family gave carried sprigs of myrtle down the aisle. The tradition continued on May 24, 2008 as Marie Cavallier clutched cuttings of the flowering plant along with cream-petaled roses, white lilies, winter barley and green Camellia leaves. The botanical beauty was the creation of florist Jan Munch of Munch & Levison, who also arranged floral finery for the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary. The following photo also showcases the elegance of Queen Margrethe's diamond diadem, which graced the bride's head on her special day.
