53008: Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Engaged
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who often dances down the aisles during her daily monologue, confided to her fans that she plans to walk down the aisle with her long-time love, actress Portia de Rossi. The former Arrested Development star applauded from her front row seat in the audience as the Emmy Award winner made the announcement on the day the California Supreme Court lifted the ban on gay marriage.An item since late 2004, the couple have long been committed to each other in their hearts. Hollywood.com reports that the former Ally McBeal cast member presented the comedienne with a Tiffany wedding ring in January 2005, slipping a matching band on her own finger.

Websters Dictionary: MARRIAGE "the mutual relationship of husband & wife: the institution whereby men & women are joined in a special kind of social/legal dependence for the purpose of founding & maintaining a family." I guess we have to throw out that old, traditional, out-dated view of marriage. Heck, what was God thinking in the 1st place?? Surely we know better than him?!!!! Well when each & everyone gets to meet him one day, I guess Ms.Ellen can tell him where HE went wrong. I would like to say "Amen" to that type of union but as they say, "GOD DONT BLESS THAT MESS!"
