44008: Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson's Wedding

Music legend Lou Reed of "Walk on the Wild Side" fame recently took a walk down the aisle with his long time love, avant garde performance artist Laurie Anderson, who is best known for her early '80's hit "O Superman." The New York Post reports that the couple, who have enjoyed a 13 year romance, said "I do" in a Colorado ceremony on April 12, 2008. The happy news was made public after the newlyweds celebrated their marital status with Law & Order: SVU star Richard Belzer and Oscar-nominated director Julian Schnabel at the New York City townhouse of photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.
