33908: Baseball Star Hideki Matsui's Wedding

One day after saying "I do" in a New York City chapel, photographers snapped pictures of Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui's wedding band as he held up a sketch of his bride during a press conference, Newsday revealed. The groom, fondly referred to as Godzilla by his league of fans, told reporters that he first met the woman of his dreams (whose name is currently being withheld from the press) two years ago, and although the March 26, 2008 ceremony may have come as a shock to some (including Derek Jeter and Bobby Abrea, with whom he had made a friendly wager that he would be the first of the baseball bachelors to tie the knot,) plans for the happy event had been a secret shared by a select few for half a year.
