30508: Nicolas Sarkozy's Former Wife To Wed
While the world read reports that model Carla Bruni had donned a Hermès dress on February 2, 2008 and said "I do" to French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the leader's second wife, Cécilia Ciganer-Albéniz, was saying goodbye to her former life and rekindling the flames of her past love with events organizer Richard Attias. The couple's 2005 romance, which was abruptly ended upon Ciganer-Albéniz's 2006 reconciliation with her husband, has led to a proposal, and on March 5, 2008 Donatella Versace announced that the venerable fashion house will design creations for both the bride and groom for their New York nuptials. According to the weekly French magazine Point de Vue, the couple will be joined in matrimony on March 22, 2008, followed by a celebration of their love with 150 friends and family members the following day.Labels: Celebrity Weddings
