23008: Actor Sean Bean's Wedding

On February 19, 2008, a month after she had originally planned to walk down the aisle, actress Georgina Sutcliffe strolled out of the Marylebone Register Office in London on the arm of her new husband, Lord of the Rings star Sean Bean. According to the Daily Mail, 15 guests, including the groom's three daughters, gathered to observe the previously postponed presentation. Standing on the steps outside the office after the civil ceremony, photographers captured images of a beaming bride, her metallic-hued high heel shoes providing a touch of sparkle to her wedding ensemble, which consisted of a black skirt and a buff-hued blouse. Her small bouquet of white roses harmonized with the single white rose tucked into the lapel of the groom's dark blue pin-striped suit.

Following the 30-minute exchange of vows, reports indicated that the newlyweds spent their first night together as husband and wife at Brown's Hotel, a 5-star retreat in Mayfair which has welcomed a number of notable guests during its 170 year history, including Theodore Roosevelt, Alexander Graham Bell, Rudyard Kipling and Agatha Christie. The newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. may soon enjoy a honeymoon excursion in India, as The Sun reports that the actor will step in front of the cameras in the South Asian country in March for a reprisal of his role in the series Sharpe.

Congratulations on making that tatty outfit sound semi-respectable. Between her "rolled out of bed" look and his ill-fitting, soiled suit, they certainly managed to dispel any hint of movie star glamour from the event.

A word to the wise....never marry just to have a trophy wife. Also look out for those gold diggers. You were a prime target and she got you. I give your marriage....maybe a month before your next battle about who should wear the pants in the family and maybe a year before the divorce papers come out.
