Known to her fans as the nonconformist mother of a Yale student on the 2000-2007 contemporary TV classic Gilmore Girls, actress Lauren Graham returned to her own college alma mater on February 5 – 6, 2008. As a guest speaker at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, the Golden Globe-nominated star shared her wisdom with the next generation of Hollywood hopefuls before taking her leave and heading to the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, a 143-guest room, 5-star retreat deemed the best hotel in the United States by Zagat. As a fire crackled in the fireplace at the Mansion Bar, Ms. Graham was able to relax in a leather chair and contemplate her day back on her old college campus where she earned a master’s degree, the Dallas Morning News reports. Seen on a Tuesday evening, the TV and movie star was one day too early to enjoy the live jazz performances that take place at the Mansion Bar each Wednesday through Saturday evening.
