A blast of trumpets and the reverential echo of an organ bade friends and family to rise from the pews at Christ Church in Salzburg, Austria on January 18, 2008 as Annika Middelschulte began to walk down the aisle on her way to her prince charming, Marten Bunnemann. Royal guests Princess Victoria and Queen Silvia of Sweden (Annika’s godmother) watched the bride pass by in a winter white gown. In sync with the season, the bride’s dotted veil resembled a winter’s snowfall, but her dainty poesy of white, yellow and pink roses interspersed with white lilacs was a fragrant reminder of spring’s near arrival as she stood by her love’s side at the altar.

Following the ceremony, an arch of swords provided a regal exit for the newlyweds as they left the house of worship and headed for post-wedding festivities which began at the Goldener Hirsch, where Salzburg24 News reports that guests dined on wedding soup and dumplings.
