10408: Sian Lloyd's Wedding

Although Christmas Day had come and gone, ITV weather presenter Sian Lloyd and millionaire Jonathan Ashman received the greatest gift of all on December 30, 2007 as they pledged their love to each other during an intimate ceremony. While earlier reports had indicated that the couple, who had been an item for the past 10 months, would wed at a register office in Wales or London, the couple's happy day found the pair at The Portmeirion Hotel, a 5-star sanctuary in Gwynedd, North Wales, The Telegraph reports. The 5-star retreat, which has opened its doors over the years for such illustrious guests as Noel Coward, H.G. Wells and Frank Lloyd Wright, welcomed Tony Blair's son Euan Blair, actor Stifyn Parri and opera singer Bryn Terfel-- three of only seven guests invited to witness the bride walk down the aisle in a pair of silver stilettos at the start of a bi-lingual ceremony. During the intimate "I do's" the TV personality received a wedding band to accompany an engagement ring which was presented to her shortly after a proposal held in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro.
