According to People magazine, 250 guests will receive invitations to the upcoming wedding, where they will witness the groom place a wedding band on to his bride's finger to accompany her platinum engagement ring, a purchase from Plantation Jewelers in Winter Garden, Florida, which is crowned with a round brilliant-cut diamond and flanked by two smaller diamonds. The couple, who have kept their engagement a treasured secret known only to family and friends until their August 16, 2007 announcement, have declared that they will become husband and wife before the end of the calendar year.

A six-carat diamond sparkler now graces the third finger of Wonderbra model Elisabetta Gregoraci's left hand, courtesy of Renault Formula One owner Flavio Briatore. Although their intention to wed was first made public in January 2007, British newspaper The Daily Mail reports that the billionaire waited until just the right romantic moment, which occurred during a mid-August holiday as they stood on the deck of a yacht floating in the Mediterranean Sea and witnessed a meteor shower, to present his bride-to-be with a rock reportedly worth 100,000 British pounds. The happy couple, who plan to walk down the aisle in May 2008, have been in Sardinia for jeweler Fawaz Gruosi's birthday bash, an event which also attended by actress Anne Hathaway and her beau Raffaello Follieri and society siren Ivana Trump, who is currently making her own wedding preparations with fiance Rossano Rubicondi.

A simple civil ceremony, the couple are reportedly waiting until August 22, 2007 to exchange wedding bands during a more formal celebration of their love at Ireland's Kinnitty Castle. A popular site for celebrities to say "I do," the groom's sister, pop star Edele Lynch, received a blessing of her union at the venue in August 2006.

BBC Radio Two DJ Chris Evans and professional golfer Natasha Shishmanian walked into the Guildford Register office in Surrey, England on August 11, 2007 and were pronounced husband and wife in a civil ceremony. The low-key wedding locale came as a surprise to members of the media, who presumed that the pair would pledge their devotion in Portugal. The couple had been engaged since early July 2007, when the on-air personality proposed to his love of the past nine months over dinner at the O'Alambique restaurant in the Portuguese city of Quinta do Lago.
