Even though the bottle of Veuve Clicquot failed to break, a future of smooth sailing is surely ahead for Cunard’s Queen Victoria after Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, forever linking herself to a royal tradition in which Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth has taken part, christened the luxury liner at the Southampton docks on December 10, 2007. The Prince of Wales was by Camilla‘s side as they toured the 90,000 ton ship, where patrons on the liner’s maiden voyage the following day will dine on culinary creations at seven restaurants, try their luck at the casino and gain insight into the monarch for whom the floating palace was named in the Queen’s Room, which is decorated with images chronicling the reign of Queen Victoria.
