On November 23, 2007, BBC Scotland news anchor Jackie Bird's heart took flight as she said "I do" to her fiance since August 2006, Robin Weir. One hundred and twenty guests gathered at Crutherford House Hotel, a 4-star Scottish sanctuary located one-half hour away from Glasgow, to witness the bride walk down the aisle in a strapless ivory wedding dress from Pronovias toward her intended, who had donned a kilt for the occasion, The Herald reports. Following the ceremony, the TV presenter clutched her bouquet of white calla lilies as she and her newly-pronounced husband posed for photos on the grounds of the 37-acre estate, their smiles reflecting the joy of the day and their dreams of their upcoming New York honeymoon.
