110807: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at The Carlyle Hotel

A bevy of bunnies, painted by the artistic “father” of the beloved series of Madeline children’s books, watched from the walls on Bemelmans Bar on November 5, 2007 as Suri Cruise, the apple of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s eye, enjoyed a tea party with her friends at one of the Big Apple’s most regal retreats, the Carlyle Hotel. Serving lamp chops and Black Angus burgers along with libations to New York City notables throughout the week, weekend afternoons at Bemelmans Bar offers kid-friendly fare, and People magazine online reports that Tinseltown’s top tot and her playmates munched on such childhood staples as mini burgers, french fries and macaroni and cheese.

Madeline tea parties are conducted each Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. at The Carlyle Hotel. Offering a bit of French flair, children dine on Madeline-themed linen from a menu that also contains a Parisian-themed treat that surely brought back happy memories of their June 17, 2005 proposal for Tom and Katie– the Eiffel Tower hot fudge sundae.
