0111207: Wedding of Olympic Athlete Veronica Campbell

On November 3, 2007, sprinter Veronica Campbell, whose feet flew to a first place finish in the 2004 Olympic Games, took her time as she strolled down the aisle of St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Coral Gardens, Montego Bay, Jamaica, making her way toward the man she loves, Commonwealth Games chanpion sprinter Omar Brown. The Jamaica Gleaner reports that fellow sprinters Tyson Gay, a gold medalist in the 2007 World Championships in Athletics, and Merlene Ottey, the world’s most decorated Olympic female track and field athlete, were among the guests who watched the bride walk past in a white, strapless wedding dress, which she accessorized with a necklace and a diaphanous veil.
