93407: Clay Walker's Wedding in New Orleans

The past and the present seemed to merge for a moment back in November 2006 as Jessica Craig accepted the proposal of platinum-selling recording artist Clay Walker outside of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Galveston, Texas-- the spot where the model's grandparents became engaged years before. According to web site Great American Country, the romantic refrain of "Edelweiss" was performed by a quartet as the country crooner knelt down in the presence of their combined families and washed the feet of his bride-to-be. The country crooner's reverence for his love was again apparent to the witnesses that looked on as the couple exchanged vows on the evening of September 28, 2007.

Bridesmaids in short white dresses walked down the aisle at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans before the bride made her entrance in a strapless white wedding gown, which she paired with a lace-edged veil. Following a performance by fellow country star Tracy Lawrence, the couple were united in marriage. Before heading out on a three-week honeymoon, the newlyweds enjoyed the spirit of the Big Easy, and a photo on the singer's official web site shows a beaming bride and groom and their attendants carrying parasols as they walked behind a band.
